Why do people think that Hit ler was christian?

Seriously I thougth that everyone knew he waesnt since like 5 years after his death...the guy uses christianity in some of his speeches to gain the people but he was most certainly not christian, everyone can lie and hitler was the kind of guy who said ANYTHING to gain followers even if the next day he had to say something contradictory to that

Hitler made such inconsistent statements about religion that it's impossible to tell what he was really. I've also heard that his ultimate goal was to convert Germans to Norse style paganism because of Christianity's Jewish origins.

Of course he lied. He was a leader and a politician therefore he was full of ****. Like the rest. And just because Hitler said he wasn't atheist(if he really did) doesn't mean he was theist. He lied made up stories to manipulate people. Everything he ever said within lifetime was probably 95% lie.

Why does it matter anyway? He convinced his regime to willingly exterminate people in the mostinhumane andgrotesque as well as convolutedmethods imaginable yet you're wondering if he was a liar."Gee Hitler how willl we establish massive extermination?" Why are you so desperate to prove he wasn't a Christian? Who cares either way. It would take about 10 secs to do a google search and name 10 popes renowned for murder and mayhem. Or perhaps some inquisitors. Or maybe Kings leading Christian armies to slaughter their religious enemies.

What possible difference could it make what his beliefs really were, if any? There are 1,000s of examples of 'killing in the name of' or simply just killing. A monster is a monster regardless of what drives their spirituality or lack thereof.

Yeah? There are countless people in history who believed in god and did countless things.. If anything he may have felt he was the chosen of god and doing the will of it with the aryan race! His actions do not point to him believe or disbelieving in god.. I find it insulting to make that suggestion.

im not saying that he was a "mad crusader" or some crazy atheist...im just saying he waesnt christian there is no special reason why someone would want to know his religion...

You can call him a Christian, he could have labeled himself a Christian. Doesn't change the fact that he was not actually saved by faith in the Lord Jesus. Is Hitler in Heaven? No.

dammit what is wrong with the people here? one guy comes, he doesnt understand the thread so he says "ARE YOU BOTHERED BY THE FACT HE WAS CHRISTIAN WHATS THE POINT IN ARGUING THIS!!!" so everyone else in the thread follow that person and now it turns out that Im apparently annoyed that he was a christian...when the hell did I said that? All I said is that people should stop calling him a christian not only because im Christian myself but because its also wrong...hell even if you would call him a buddist or a jew I would still tell you to stop it because you cant call things/people for something they are notlightleggy
