I wouldn't say horrid but completely over rated, personally pop isn't my genre of choice, besides the whole opera part is far too theatrical to be taken seriously.

I wouldn't say horrid but completely over rated, personally pop isn't my genre of choice, besides the whole opera part is far too theatrical to be taken seriously. Ofcourse it's overrated, how could it not be overrated? That doesen't mean anything, since that doesen't take away from the quality of the music itself. It's also not pop, it's a classical rhapsody with heavy rock elements. How that can get misconstrued as pop is beyond me. =] If it's too "theatrical" and by that i presume you're referring to the whole "dramaturgy" of the song, i guess that's completely up to personal preferences. I can definitely see where you're coming from with that point of criticism, i just do not agree that it has a detrimental effect on the song, quite the contraire actually. =]
