Bigger vehicles legally don't need seatbelts. Why that is, I'm not sure. The size of the bus is probably enough protection in most instances.wallymartin

city buses don't have them either:roll: I think its because they're not really needed. I mean the injuries you may get in a bus a far less severe than anything you would suffer from in a car accident. anything that could hurt you more, would probably not be survivable with or without a seat belt.

I think it's because the giant padded seat in front of you would stop you in the event of an accident, so the seatbelt wouldn't be needed. Plus, would you think the kids would wear the seatbelts anyway?
