He hardly controls the economy consumers do and he wants to update our country but everyone shrieks communist or socialist...

Its because ive never seen a president promise so much and deliver so little. Yes, every president makes promises they cant keep etc. But jesus.. He went so overboard and clearly couldnt deliver on anything he said he could. Mccain lost for being to realistic on issues like Iraq and healthcare etc. which is pretty sad

I fail to see what he hasn't yet delivered on. I'm just assuming that Health Care Reform and Financial Reform are two of the main promises of "change" you were expecting... and would you look at that! He DID deliver reform. Not to say that the reform you wantedis being implemented. Let alone the tens of other promises he's made and delivered on as well. Oh, and yeah, he hasn't even hit his mid-term yet. I'd say that's pretty damn good. Now to legalize gay marriage!

He said Obamacare wouldn't raise premiums, but they are and will continue until everything in Obamacare starts in 2014.

Last I checked, the Congress is the branch of Government that controls federal money. Their incompetence is much more at fault than any President in regards to the economy (including G.W. Bush).

But even then, the Republicans haven't exactly made outlining a plan to improvement other than "Deconstructing most of the change Obama has made" much of a priority. Even if the changes in the last two years were for the worse, going back to the system established before 2008 isn't exactly more of an improvement (if the Wall Street meltdown and BP Oil Spill are anything to go by).

People always criticize the standing president. Comes with the job.

Because the president made many promises and while he delivered, what's criticized is how he's delivering it. Also his broken promises happen to always be in the spotlight. Also, all Americans do it. We did it to Reagan. Reagan is now a God to us even though he voted to raise taxes.
