Well 9 pages of arguments containing heated argument, whether it's intellectual or not, is a lot more entertaining than 9 pages of people brown nosing each other and agreeing lol.
I don't know.... I stopped after my first couple weeks here. No point. I will gladly discuss, correct, hypothesize, etc...but not argue. As you said, no one ever changes their mind

To learn. Arguing helps strengthen or reform your ideas. I can say that from participating and reading debates online (not necessarily gamespot), I have learned quite a bit. It's made me change some of the views drastically.
