Why shouldn't i? God is the most logical thing to explain existence.123625Go right ahead and explain, then.

That logic only applies to things created by humans not nature.I guess you can call nature the painter, its just the way things are.

The world came as a result of chance by the fundamental properties of the way the various substances of the universe react.[QUOTE="123625"]Go right ahead and explain, then.[QUOTE="CptJSparrow"][QUOTE="123625"]Why shouldn't i? God is the most logical thing to explain existence.xxDustmanxx

Nature didn't design a painting intellegently, nor could she just come into existence by shear chance.

The world came as a result of chance by the fundamental properties of the way the various substances of the universe react. We're not talikng about that, im just saying its more logical that we were created, than arrived by random chance. Who knows maybe god created the Universe through evo and abio or whatever. I just don't see it possible for there not to be a god.

It is not logical to create a baseless conjecture for sheer comfort when one cannot find an answer.I believe in God because the universe is too precisely ordered by mathematical and physical laws to conclude that it came about entirely without intelligent design behind the work. In other words, I think it's impossible that such an amazing and infinitely intricate universe, governed by such exact laws, could have come about by mere chance. The premise that the universe and life came about through a chance, chaotic explosion defies logic.
Now, how you want to define "God" is another discussion altogether. And proving that there is a God is impossible, in my estimation. At the end of the day, however, the complexity of the universe and all that it contains is proof enough for me to conclude that intelligent design was behind it.

None of this happened by chance, its just the way things are.Cause and effect man cause and effect, its just the way the universe works.
anthropic principle is tautology. it is not testable nor falisifable.I believe in God because the universe is too precisely ordered by mathematical and physical laws to conclude that it came about entirely without intelligent design behind the work. why dont you read my blog for a VASTLY better case for a God. not just a deist god you're trying to prove, the personal JUDEO-CHRISTIAN god

You prove it did.
Im just going with logic, why can't you accept that?
Is it just to insane to beleive we were created by a higher being? For reason? for purpose?
Or is it rational to beleive we came as a result of shear randomness, for no reason, purpose or cause?

I was not the one who made the absolute statement about causality -- the one who did is you, ergo the burden of proof rests with you to support your statement. Your logic is subjective and untenable and I will not accept it because of its nature.[QUOTE="CptJSparrow"][QUOTE="kirk4ever"][QUOTE="CptJSparrow"]It is not logical to create a baseless conjecture for sheer comfort when one cannot find an answer.kirk4ever

IM just wondering why cpjt thinks its so illogical to beleive in god.
It is a baseless conjecture that serves the mere purpose of comfort but does not prove anything. You have faith in your deity as the answer but lack any evidence, for faith does not prove anything. It is what you would call "pure speculation" if stripped of all terms that relate to your beliefs. But why is it illogical to beleive we were created by god?

He's the only one here using logic.

Im not basing it off proof although there is enough. Im basing it on logic.
Can a painting form by itself without a intellegent painter? According to you yes it can.
