Pretty sure the big boys up top can just say no, as drugs are something taken care of at the federal level. Believe me, I'd love to see a lot of these issues settled by people who actually live in the state. But AFAIK, they can always override the vote.[QUOTE="senses_fail_06"][QUOTE="GamingTitan"]
I live in Washington state and I care a lot.
Its crazy that weed is about to be flat out legal here. All the polls are showing it winning by a land slide.
The gay marriage one will pass too.

I may be wrong but i dont think they can just veto it, but they can show up and raid the shops and arrest the people selling it. If it passes (and it will) Washington state is basically going to war with the feds over it. Should be pretty crazy~
All in all it seems that its just a question of time before you see it being sold for recreational use in most states. People have had it with a losing drug war. So much revenue to be generated from it. They are saying like 1.5 billion over 2 years in Washington state.
Yea, it really is only a matter of time before weed get's fully legalized. The revenue is just too tempting to the states.Pretty sure the big boys up top can just say no, as drugs are something taken care of at the federal level. I think you're right. Similar stuff went down just like that in California recently.I vote for the local stuff in state elections. Unlike the presidential election, my vote actually matters locally as San Diego is a Republican city. Thats good, a lot of the people I know dont bother voting in local state elections.[QUOTE="Allicrombie"]Cali has a buttload of propositions. They're smart to do it this way cause no one votes in state elections.Pirate700
[QUOTE="Stevo_the_gamer"][QUOTE="SaudiFury"] might come off as a humorous, but both my mom and i look forward to when we can smoke a joint together (like we did in Jamaica) :P hopefully it'll get passed.l4dak47What a great parent. Same as a father drinking a beer with his son. i see no issue here. I have to agree with you here. If it's legal, I don't see much of a difference.

I think it is a little different. Marijuana being consumed through direct inhalation of carcinogens probably wouldn't be something most children should be exposed to. Pot brownies though? Sure.

Guy is an adult, dude. Obvs, kids shouldn't be exposed to any mind-altering drugs before the ages of like 18 or something. After that, I don't care if they smoke, vape, or eat.dont worry. in 24 hours, that wont be the caseGay Marriage has never passed a referendum vote. Silent majority.

The 21 drinking age is dumb and just about everybody breaks that law.I think it is a little different. I voted for repealing California's death penalty. Go me. Also for the limitations on the three strikes ruleAbbetenIts pretty hilarious that people who claim to be "fiscally conservative" are still for the death penalty even though it costs millions of dollars more than imprisoning them for life..
Immigration ones? Which states are those in, the ones for CA don't seem to cover that.TheWalkingGhostI believe Maryland has one, it's about the DREAM act. Though other states already have it, this will be the first one decided by a referendum.

Although I'm not voting, a whole lot more attention has been given regarding having a casino here in Baltimore, MD than the gay marriage bill. I think everyone pretty much assumes that were going to have Question 6 passed here regarding gay marriage. As far as having a casino goes, a lot of debate has been going on if money will go towards schools (which we know Baltimore is absolutely doing terrible). If I would vote no on gay marriage and yes for having a casino here (question 7). At the very least it would create some jobs. I think the bigger concern is that politicians are worried the poor people would spend all their money at the casino.

I think gay marriage will pass in Washington and Maine, it luck is on the right side of history then Maryland will pass it as well.
Marijuana posession legalization will definitely pass in washington.
and While I intially thought Californian will definitely keep state pre meditated murder of citizens firmly in place, now I think result will probably be close enough to keep some hope for humanity.

it won't be a even bet, it is way too likely that at least one state will pass same sex marriage by referendum vote this time.
