Wouldn't that make sense....that God should come down and answer all our questions and tell us what he really wants once and for all? I mean he doesn't have to come here for long, maybe just chill on Earth for a month to answer questions, then go back to heaven once we understand better.

hmm.. except the bible is written by more than one author.. and isn't actually written by "god"... not to mention it's meanings have been interpreted differently by different nominations of Christianity.

I heard he has a poker game with Satan :|, that could be it .

So what kind of poker game is it? Since money isn't important to them, do they play using peoples' souls instead of money?

the bible is god's inspired word. when those writers wrote the bible, the Holy spirit inspired them to write it in their own words.

natedrummer95

A few questions, then, out of curiosity:

1. What were Jesus' last words on the cross?

2. To whom did Jesus first appear after his resurrection?

3. How much did Jesus speak about himself?

4. If we wish to be justified, is it by observance of the Law, or by faith that we may be so?

I don't know.. I never read any where in the bible we need to be saved. This concept seemed to originate in European society. But I may be wrong. Anyways, I don't think the bible is a fairly good representation of God as it's been manipulated by man kind for it's own purpose.. specifically by organizations like the catholic church.

Wouldn't that make sense....that God should come down and answer all our questions and tell us what he really wants once and for all? I mean he doesn't have to come here for long, maybe just chill on Earth for a month to answer questions, then go back to heaven once we understand better.

RJay123
There are several reasons that I can think of, but I'm sure there are more: 1. In 1000 years, people will be asking the same question as you: "why doesn't God come clarify a few things?" God has done this already. His name was Jesus Christ. Mankind tends to forget, misunderstand, and confuse itself on multiple occassions. 2. God does not have to prove anything to YOU. You have to prove yourself to God.

Right. And every single Hindu, Bhuddist, Muslim and Jewish person on this earth (which none of believe in Jesus) is entirely wrong. Just you are right. With no proof but a 2000 year old book. You seem awfully certain of yourself. Is this perhaps because you were born into your religion. Would you be Hindu if you were born in India? Would you be Bhuddist if you were born in Tibet?

for some reasons... 1st: because God will not give/do everything/anything you want. 2nd: because if he does that, then we would all believe in God and we would all put our lifes to God...and this is supposed to be a TRIAL, a TEST OF FAITH, if he comes down here, the test will be ruined because there will be no more faith (since we would all have an empyrical proof that he exist) if he did that, even that guy with lil wayne on his sig will believe in God.

We have no idea (if there is a being) if god is even the being we think it to be.. The being based on reality and how little we know, it seems like a good chance that if a being that could be qualified as god is infact completely alien to us... We have trouble even understanding the ideals, values of one another, how could we ever expect to understand a being like god?

I'm surely no expert on it but I personally believe there will be a judgement on the ignorant in which God will test them in other ways(people who do not know better - i.e. born into buddism) but that is for God to decide. Maybe it will be during revelation in which people can choose NOT to take the mark of the beast and redeem themselves in God's eyes. Or maybe we are born the way we are due to something our spirits did before we became flesh (fyi - your spirit has always existed with God, but you were not always bound in flesh). And as for your assumption to my religious views: I choose to be Chrisitian because it makes the most logicial sense to me.

Because if god does exist (a big if), and he exists as depicted by the three religions of the desert, the last thing he cares about is you or your soul.

well he does sopposedly listen to everyone's prayers, know everything you do and judge you based on it. so... he already wastes a lot of time ... why not just come down and say he's real.. oh yeah cuz he does not exist.. now it all makes sense.
