because without predators the ecosystem would be all out of wack. Do you know how overrun herbavores would be if all the predators were killed. Herbivores would become so overrun they would not have any food at all. And then they would all die. Honestly I have never heard anything so stupid as this thread you created. Plus it is the natural order of things. Predators are there to help balance the ecosystem.
Animals don't do it for pleasure. Most animals make an effort to kill cleanly (wolves go for the neck, lions usually break the spine with their bite, etc) although there are exceptions. They also need to eat. Cruelty imposed on animals by humans is voluntary, and that's where people have a problem.
Quick deaths? Gas chambers that take up to 20 minutes...that's quick and merciful? Smashing dogs to death in the back of a garbage truck? That's about as horrific as it gets.

Wild animals kill for food. Some animals in some kinds kill because they are wicked though (like lion or tiger that kill any animals including humans because they are irritating). While humans kill them for 2 sakes. Food and fun. Pardon me! Do u know how can u get those chickens or pork while they are so many people living in this world? We raise them. We feed them. And we let them live in a very WIDE and NICE place (that's sarcasm, u know). So that we can make food enough for us. We also use stimulating growth hormones to increase our food growing to be faster so that we can eat them sooner. We are such NICE guys that care about animals by using gas or soft method to kill them because we want to get their meat in fine condition. When bird's flu arrived in Thailand. We killed more than 10 millions chickens because we were afraid of bird flu which took away 20 people lives (Only in Thailand, Vietnam lost much more people because they didn't bury their chickens alive like us. Come to think of it, is it really good decision for us, I don't know.). We only care about our species. That's why u never ask why doesn't we killing ourselves for the sake of those poor animals. Human is the GREATEST and KINDEST race ever! :(

Dude, first off its called an ecosystem, and second humans are animals. We are just a little more intelligent than the rest. As for all of your complaints humans do all of them and since you want humans to kill all animals maybe well start with ourselves. you can volunteer since you feel so strongly.

I've seen that sort of thing a lot when a couple of stupid kids killed a water snake just because they thought it was a cottonmouth. And the funniest thing is that they are talking like they're a bunch of reptile experts but I can't help but roll my eyes because I knew what snake it is.

Good question. The food chain goes along to where man is at the top, but wild animals kill other animals so that they can survive. They capture prey then eat it.

Well first things first killing a tiger and or lion is a lot harder than killing a cow... which has more meat than a tiger anyways. Second, tigers are going extinct so if you want to kill some go ahead and get captured by the KGB. And to answer your question, its the way of life. The strongest survive by killing weaker animals. Killing and torturing are two different things. When hyenas rip flesh from those deer, most of the time the deer is already dead.
