Why doesn't the U.S. and some other countries attack Somolia?

Why would we attack? A Muslim nation not currently set out on destroying the West. What we need to do in Somalia is recognise the sovereignity and nationhood of Puntland and Somaliland, those two have the potential to be stable nations in the future and are the best hope of kicking out the Islamic Courts Union from Mogadishu and establishing some sense of order in that place. Also we need to place embargos on Eritrea and other nations who've contributed to the anarchy in Somalia.

I mean really all they do is take Europe's and the U.S. supplies of stuff hostage all the time because they have nothing better to do.....what does everyone think?

Because it's not Europe's problem, and many African countries will generally keep using any excuse to fight out old tribe wars with AKs and machetes.
