Well.... we could try to. But then the space time continuem would go haywire and everything will be chaotic. CHEESE!!!!!!!!!!!
That would just...not work. If America declared war on the whole world, people like Russia would launch nukes at you etc.ferron321
Not to mention one nuclear device detonated on our soil would not make it worth it.. You saw the reaction 9/11 caused by two buildings falling and the deaths of 3000 innocents.. Could you imagine what it would be then if an entire major city of millions vaporized and a nother few million getting radiation poisioning or being blinded by the flash would do?
Yes because we all remembered what happened to the Roman and British Empire. :|CommanderShiro

hell and the rest.
This isn't a good comparison though.. Armies did not take months to years to reach their destination.. Information did not take weeks to months to reach a person, its damn near instanteous.. And they did not have weapons that could reach any where on the planet in under 30 minutes.. Not saying the US would succeed just saying its a absurd comparison.

Its not as absurd as you make it out to be. Both those empires died out for the same reason. The more lands you have to govern the more expensive it becomes. Having militaries control territory cost a tremendous amount of resources. The empire decays from the inside by it.[QUOTE="sSubZerOo"][QUOTE="whatsit2ya"][QUOTE="CommanderShiro"]Yes because we all remembered what happened to the Roman and British Empire. :|CommanderShiro

The romans could not respond to a invader in less then a week.. This is why you can not compare them.. Its a completely different ball game.. Forces would think twice if several roman legions could respond ANY where in the empire in less then a few days, instead of weeks, months, etc etc.

Yeah, because the enemies of Rome were not anywere near as advanced as the Legionnaires. This, however, isn't not the case when we're talking about America.

Thats not true.. Tons of forces were more superior alot of times they just had the numbers.. My point is you can not make a fair comparison between this hypothetical sitituation and the examples of Roman empire. Yeah I agree its absurd to think of this.. Firstly due to MAD as well as other things.. But they are completely differen tnow.

but they still had the best tech of the time, now the Americans have equal tech to other countries (China, Russia, UK) and if they start taking over the world then one of the countries that has been building nukes all these years (or all of them) will nuke America and get it over with.
I dont get it why stop at Iraq and play games, why dont we put the british empire to the test, U.S. forgein policy for the last 50 years has been all a joke, Why not create an empire? I mean its not like we're raping and sending them to camps_Celldweller_
funny u should say that...

................. Wait what? I am argueing that the comparison of the Roman empire to the US is a absurd comparison.. I have already said the Us would never win nor would they ever commi them selves ot it.. What I was saying is that the Roman empire and British empire are not good comparisons and examples in history.
We could take over the entire oceans , the US Navy alone would dominate the globes entire waters... No one with any knowledge of that could argue this.
As for taking over land NO country has that power.... US, Russia, China couldnt take over the world by land thats not possible.
When microsoft buys switserland and then the rest of teh world and enslaves everyone so they can work n eloborate mining facilities i fing called it!
but any ways USA would lose hands down. and since i wil be taking over the world soon you better call jobs in ministry now. minister of pointy objects and minister of videogaming has already been taken.
[QUOTE="Truth_Seekr"]Isn't the take over already in progress?
jointed
How exactly?
The coming economic collapse of the global economy and not to mention continuing to create events such as 9-11 and the world wars, thanks to international banking dynasties.
