Why is a naked man okay, but a naked woman is wrong?

I've seen a few commercials and PG movies where where either a male's butt was shown or the male being naked was implied.

Don't get me started on R rated movies ,they sometimes show the penis and everything.(shivers at the scenes of "Borat" and "Eurotrip").I've never seen a vagina in a movie that went to theaters(waits for jokes)

And most of the time its viewed as comical when a male naked and its accepted.but when a female is naked its usually viewed as softcore porn and sometimes doesnt make it to theaters.

I guess it depends on the context... most (if not all) of the women you see nude in movies are very attractive while men run the gamut... In most flicks the women are there for some sex appeal, but you'll never see the full spread because of ratings... and there are rules for men, too... I remember watching Jason Goes to Hell with the commentary on and the director said "You can have pickle, but you can't have angry pickle." He also mentioned some rules on how much female nudity there should be vs how many deaths, but maybe that's just that genre...sagecrow

I mean the only time i see a woman naked in a film is when theyre hot(Good luck chuck). But on the flip side you barely ever see a naked attractive man (Borat).

I guess because you cant watch attractive women naked on tv without it being sexual.

Well Basket Case was pretty sweet (did anyone see Evil Dead Trap... the ending was kind of a rip off of Basket Case, but it was still a good flick...), so if he's doing this I'm game to see it!
