I think it's quite the opposite, there's hardly any dutch showergel commercial that doesn't show boobs. Dutch movies have a reputation to contain 'superfluous nudity', it doesn't make sense in the story, but it is shown because we can. It's pretty annoying sometimes. Also there seems to be a trend in regular (art house) movies to show hardcore porn (genitals and ejaculation and all). like Ken Park, 9 Songs, Baise Moi, Shortbus, The Brown Bunny
I thought it was generally the opposite.. although i dont pay much attention when there is a topless guy on screen compared to a topless woman. I guess i just don't notice.
Dirty Sanchez, Jackass, Borat... can't think of one movie that shows a vagina (i'm talking about real movies LJ basic, not porn or w.e stuff you've been watching ie. not been in cinemas)
Its like that for the same reason why killing white people in movies is okay, but the second a black person dies its racism, and no way for the movie to get to theatres...
From my experience, guys get all hot and excited when they see naked woman-ness, but girls tend to just giggle and avert their eyes when they see a naked guy. Luncbox1
yea, you seem to buy into that innocent school girl fascade. i know for a fact, after the movie, they all get to one of hteir houses and talk about it all night.
I've seen a few commercials and PG movies where where either a male's butt was shown or the male being naked was implied.
Don't get me started on R rated movies ,they sometimes show the penis and everything.(shivers at the scenes of "Borat" and "Eurotrip").I've never seen a vagina in a movie that went to theaters(waits for jokes)
And most of the time its viewed as comical when a male naked and its accepted.but when a female is naked its usually viewed as softcore porn and sometimes doesnt make it to theaters.
Well, because the women are sexy. Lets put a naked guy there (eww!!!) A naked woman though and you got unlimited comments of "porno" even though the lady might be sitting there naked doing nothing.
