Why is Bill O'Reilly still allowed to appear on television?

This man is a complete and utter ****. He is a complete embarrassment, and deserves a horrible death. So why is he still broadcasting his evil, distorted,bile?

Because he happens to be human, which entitles him to certain rights, the first of which being the right to freely express his opinion on his television and radio shows.

He draws ratings. What else do you need?

It's his fault that Fox has the bad reputation it has.

Other than him the channel is fine (yes I know, it's still right wing, but all news channels are biased).

I watch it for the lulz.

Because he's entertaining. His show is awesome if you're looking for something that's unintentionally hilarious.

While I don't agree with a lot of what he has to say, he has a right to express his opinion. It's never a good thing to silence critics or dissenters simply because they don't agree with your way.

I think the tc is over reacting pretty bad, hes not so terrible. There are alot worse talk show hosts.

He tends to present a very one sided argument, does not always stick to the facts, and has a habit of bullying or screaming at guests that have different points of view than him. But then again, this seems to be a very common tactic among many political talk show hosts on both sides.sonicare

I don't understand why people have so much hate for O'Reilly. I can understand the hate for Hannity or Rush, but O'Reilly??? I mean yeah he talks (screams) over some of his guests, and says some inflammatory things, but overall he is pretty fair.

The only problem I have with O'Reilly is that he won't just come out and admit he's a conservative.

Maybe because of the right to free speech that is explicitly spelled out in the first amendment? It's people like you who are raping our nation by advocating the silencing of those who do not share your views. Bill O'reilly and Sean Hannity may be bad, but their journalism is flawlessly honest when compared to Keith Olberman, Chris Matthews, or Rachel Maddow. They all, however, are humans and citizens of this country, so they have the right to say anything they choose without fear of punishment. You are the one who deserves a horrible death.

He labels himself as a "conservative commentator." The reason he doesn't explicitly say he's a conservative is because he assumes everyone already knows, which they do for the most part.

He did not say that a right to be broadcast exists, He said that, if you are broadcast, you can say what you want on that broadcast (other than profanity and other things that constitute FCC violations), which is absolutely correct.

Well...and why Olbermann is still allowed to appear on TV? He became worse than O'Reilly, but unlike him he isn't a ratings magnet
