[QUOTE="viewtiful26"][QUOTE="_IronManDude_"] In all seriousness, I agree with this guy. Many marriages break up in North America every year because the wife continuously pummels the man, and the man cannot do anything about it._IronManDude_From my understanding most cases of domestic abuse are from the mother, as they are around more often to hit the kids and stuff. Really? I would have figured it was the father?
In cases of domestic abuse/assault, men are more likely to kill their spouse.
In cases of domestic abuse/assault, men are more likely to inflict damage that sends his spouse to the hospital.
In cases of domestic abuse/assault, women are more likely to use weapons on their spouse.
In cases of domestic abuse/assault, women are likely to instigate the attacks upon their spouse.
In cases of domestic abuse/assault, women are likely to verbally abuse their spouse.
In cases of domestic abuse/assault, women are far more likely to report to the police.
There are studies often brought up that cite men are the cause of 73 or so percent of domestic abuse, but those are derived from police records, and considering it's incredibly rare that men report abuse(or that their report is taken seriously), it's already a tarnished study. Many scientific studies(you know, those surveys doing random people and whatnot) from numerous countries have shown similar results that it's closer to a 50-50 split with women being the aggressor more often at around 54%(although as i said above, more women are severely injured and killed than their male counterparts).
