Why is Dubai so high-tech?

Of all the Middle Eastern countries, why is Dubai(UAE) so high tech?

Well, Saudi Arabia has most of the oil in the Middle East, sholdnt they be richer than Dubai? cuz 1/4 of Saudi Arabia is desert... Airsoul

their government is Islamic. so they are very, very conservative.

UAE is so technologically advanced and rich that they are building islands just to put hotels and resorts on.SunofVich

yeah when i saw that i was speechless..they have made 2 set of islands..one looks like a tree and the other like a world map :o

and ofcoure the tallest building at 800-900 m

Yep, that's right. They are very innovative and conscious about the appearance and class of the city in comparison to the rest of the world.

Oil money, low taxes, and very good economic policies.
