Why is Dubai so high-tech?

Dubai? High tech? I don't think so, their people, no offence, are low tech.

Do you think all of these buildings came from U.A.E's architects? lol.

Saudi arabi and Kuwait are way richer, and way smarter when money comes into mind, they know how to invest, tourism has it's advantages and disadvantages,one terrorist attack and everybody flees, lol, tourism is risky business, it could be affected easily by the surroundings.

Because they're worth billion and billions from oil but they'll run out one day so they're changing their economy to tourism. darklord888

Agreed. I visited dubai for a week last year and its a fantastic city. Camt wait to go back :)

They have a ton of money and no earthly clue how to manage it. They have so many extraneously unrealistic plans it's not even funny. There are more construction workers in the country than actual citizens. That should tell you something.bman784

So sad. When i visited Dubai, i was stunned.. So many workers, pouring into the city every morning. Never seen so many cars. Always stuck in traffic jams. Poor guys.

I believe he is referring to the fact that all the technology and architecture is not of their own doing. And he's right...much of it is done by companies and architects from other countries.
