I saw Giant Bomb give out some above average game, I forgot which, a perfect rating. I think perfect ratings should be held for extreme situations and with that I became cautious of their reviews.

The mods are fine there. Unlike here when they throw bans around like a bodily function.
I was BANNED from Giant Bomb without warning. My very first offence got me kicked off of the site, then they commented on my blog telling me "Congrats on getting Banned" or "Please GTFO Giant bomb, oh wait you have no choice.". I've gotten so many breaks here its barely countable. Gamespot Mods > Giant Bomb Mods.

you werent here during gersttman gate, lots of people left over that, lots of the reviewers left, and as a result the over all quality of the site has dropped, which is making people leave, the live gamespot events just dont feel the same without alex and jeff imo
This place used to be great, with many great personalities (not to offend anyone here though). Many left back then because Gamespot got too restrictive.
I don't think many people have left. I did have an account there a few weeks ago, but i left that place.
The mods over there are immature, people can get away with pretty much anything. If someone over there posts a disgusting picture, sometimes it's not even deleted for a day or so. I hate that place.
GB seems like a gimmick to me. Alot of my friends said they were leaving to GB and never using this site again but somehow they all returned eventually:?

lol, the mods got on the thread pretty fast, basically, it was someone who was trying to be you saying you were gay O_o
I never got what the big deal is about Jeff -- I found him quite obnoxious at times. He probably epitomizes what a lot of people who loved him wanted to be -- why they wanted to be THAT is beyond me.

Professionalism in this industry is just lame. The only reviewer I've seen who've managed to pull it off decently was Greg Kasavin.
But how many reviewers write, "This game sucks" in their reviews? None because there can be backlash from the company. Also, he used the F word in a joke in one of his video revews. Then he had no idea what he was talking about in one where he said that variety in a certain game was a bad thing even though he said the variety in it didn't seemed to be tacked on last minute. The day variety in a video game is a bad thing is the day I quit gaming.
