I never really watch the news or anything so I dont know what is wrong with there news. I realised alot of people here disslike Fox news and was just wondering why.

It is extremely biased toward the republican party and passionately anti-obama, even when the 'opinion people' like O'Reily, Glen Beck, and Hannity aren't on. The straight up 'just the facts' reporters are even biased toward republicans.rockon1215*waits for the inevitable CSNBC is just as bad* as if that should let Fox off the hook for being biased.
Simple.
Propaganda = Bad
Fox News = Propaganda
Fox News = Bad
With that said, all the cable news networks are bad, except for a select few programs. I find Fareed Zakaria's show on Sunday afternoon on CNN to be excellent, Rachel Maddow has a nice show on MSNBC, and Shepard Smith on Fox News is pretty good. But if you want to watch quality news programs, just turn on PBS, and watch BBC World News and News Hour.
It's not bad, just that with every news source, you have to be skeptical and do your own research and not believe everything they say or print.

BBC and PBS are just as biased as any nooz program on the idiot box.
bbc america and PBS .. real news. CNN is also good , they are very very little liberal bias, but they never tell you their views. unlike the guys on fox news telling people what to think.Most TV news is garbage, except for The News Hour.
duxup
I'm a Brit, and I even know what's wrong with Fox News. Its right-wing bias is internationally renound.

Wow, you need to get your info from other sources. You do know it's called an idiot box for a reason.

There's a lot more where that came from. Google is your friend.
As for PBS, I'm not even going to get started. It's a joke, a very old joke. Has been, always will be.
I'm guessing because it's so conservative. OH NOES!
But, when you think about, the majority of news networks are biased, because they already have a set political standing. If you don't like Fox News, just don't watch it. :P

Is BBC biased? Of course it is. I don't need to do a google search to find that out. The same is true for PBS, which at times sacrifices journalistic integrity for superficial neutrality.Now, are they as bad as the likes of Fox News, CNN, and MSNBC?No.
Fox News, and to a lesser extent MSNBC and CNN, broadcast propaganda throughout most of the day. BBC and PBS are exponentially more informative than any of the three big U.S. cable news networks, who don't only have an agenda, and who don't only sacrifice journalistic integrity for superficial neutrality, but sacrifice it for ratings. They aren't really even news networks in the conventional sense - they are entertainment networks first and foremost, which offer only a very small amount of quality news programming.

BBC = government funded

Do you think they're unbiased considering who controls their paychecks?
Because they take the Republican agenda and push it to the extreme. I love when Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert make fun of them. And their anti-Obama agenda disgusts me a lot.gamefan67
Did MSNBC and CNN's anti-Bush agenda disgust you? Does their pro-Obama agenda disgust you? Perhaps they disgust you because they have an opposing view and you don't like opposing views, which is normal for a Liberal.

BBC America is funded by advertising revenue, and in the UK is funded by the British public.

You could say there is more disinformation on PBS or the BBC. They do spew out more disinformation than the other 3. It doesn't change the fact that the quality is crap. I could give you a bag of feces or a truck load. It's all still crap. Worth the same in the end.
You could say that FOX, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, NBC, CNN...etc. are brainwashing with a bit of fun.
The BBC and PBS take it seriously.

Okay, but that is nothing more than your opinion - an opinion that isn't really reflected by reality. By simply looking at various studies that have been conducted, you find that viewers of stations like PBS are much more informed on the issues than viewers of Fox News and networks like it. The Iraq War is a perfect example of this, where 80% of those who regularly watched Fox News had at least one significant misconception about the war, compared to only 23% of those who regularly watched PBS.[QUOTE="Ugalde-"]I was realy hoping for some examples of them being biased not just people telling me there biased.GTALoco
Step one: Go to the nearest TV.
Step two: Turn on Fox News.
Step three: ?
Step four: Profit!
Or just watch the Daily Show/Colbert Report.
Eh, it's like that if you happen to turn on when one of the Republican talking heads (Hannity, Beck) are on. Watch O'Reilly (Granted he leans right a lot but it's pretty clear he's an independent) or even just most of their normal reporters and they usually try pretty hard to bust both sides balls. And that Stewart thing, did you see their whole episode on CNN the other day? Yeah, not exactly golden. Just watch everything with a grain of salt and you're good to go.
