I could understand maybe why there would be a show about real people who are sick (although I probably wouldn't watch it), or fictional people doing something that is actually interesting (like solving crimes, regardless of how unrealistic some of said crimes might be), but fictional people practicing medicine? No thanks. I don't watch soap operas. Setting one in a hospital and making it a weekly program instead of a daily one doesn't really make the concept any more compelling to me.
