Why is iPhone so expensive?

If you're american i don't think you have this problem but if you are from europe you will undeerstand me. IPhone in has a pricetag at around 1000 dollars. Can you believe it? Well, I can't believe it and I don't have any ideas of why it's so expensive. I mean , the Nokia N95 is better than the iPhone and it is around 650 dollars. So back to my question.

Because the iPhone is awesome. You can get one in the states for $200, and it also has better mobile mail and the 3G network, so all those whiny bloggers who were looking for any reason to fault the original can eat their words.

If I had Cingular I'd buy an iphone in a heartbeat.

The newest version is $200. thats a damned steal. my phone was $100 with a two year contract and its completely worthless.
