Yeah, I've never seen any PETA members come up and spray paint an orca after eating a seal, although that would be cool...jubino
I have to admit, the thought of that is awesome.

Isn't it, though? I'd love to see that. Either that or see someone like Hayden Paniterre (or however it's spelled) get eaten by a dolphin or whatever it was she was trying to save. Justice, the grizzly man way.
I was just watching National Geographic Channel. It was showing these killer whales attacking these gray whales. The killer whales were trying to seperate the calf from it's mother. Anyway it got me thinking. It's a sin to kill someone right? Animals do it as a means to survive. Is it sinful to kill someone if it means it could prevent them form killing someone you love or yourself?jakarai
Not if you're not into the whole, you know, "God" and "sins" thing.
People find lots of ways to justify killing other people actually if you think about it. I mean, it's not like humanity can go for any real length of time without a war of some sort...
What? if I'm hungry, and you have a sandwich, you are going down.diped

I don't know anything about sins, but in my mind, killing is killing. Whether it be a seal, human, or even just an orchid. It's all the same: the end of a life. felixworks
^^This.
Got naturalistic fallacy?
Nature doesn't determine morals although I would not always call murder immoral.
First of all, please don't attack me since this is my own opinion and i'm just expressing it. Anyway, that's why there are no absolute good or absolute bad. Rules can be bended. Sometimes rules are against us sometimes it is with us.
Still, i'm against killing. In my own belief, just because someone is committing a wrongdoing, you have no right to kill him/her because you have also committed a wrongdoing in your life. When it comes to self-defense, it would be so much better to find other ways to survive having not to kill a person.Though, war will always exist since there are conflicts but i believe war is illogical.
I would just like to add: Humans kill some animals and plants for survival. I'm referring to the food we eat. Some animals kill humans if they feel threatened and it is still for survival.
