Why is it when a Friend passes away...

One of my Friends passed away recently, it was a little tough getting passed it, but I think I'm ready to move on now. The only thing that still bothers me is when I look at his Profile on Facebook, or when I look at his Tribute Page on Facebook, It just hits me like a ton of bricks, like, "Wow, did this really happen?"

What I'd like to know though is, How come when someone passes away, if I see something that reminds me of them, I get this sense that I'm like the only person in the world. I feel really alone...

I know the type of reaction though.
Its like when my best friend comes online while i'm on messenger, my body and mind change. Into a Lion.
Okay, that last part was a lie, but the way I feel changes alot when she comes online, so I can sort of understand the unexplainable reaction process, even though its not the same thing in the least.

That's natural to feel that way, I haven't ever been there though (thankfully).

One of my friends passed away recently also. His name was Jonah and he really was a great friend and just an overall hilarious and amazing guy. He is missed :(

One of my friends committed sucide(took a cyanide pill ) because he couldn't take the **** at school. Now when I go to school and feel cold and very angry inside.

It's all the time you've spent together with them. When they're gone, there's a hole in your heart that's impossible to fill. It never goes away completely, but over time, for some people, it becomes a little easier to live with.

same here. she was murdered.

My mom died about 8 months ago and I should tell you that eventually you will think about the good things and keep in your memory like you are carrying on their legacy and their persona... if you think about it, we all end up dying so we essentially all would hope for someone to keep our legacy alive as people and keep who we are alive... she dies mysteriously and I didn't get any real sympathy from friends so I felt like I couldn't talk about it with guys that were close. Luckily my girlfriend and her family made me feel like I had someone to talk to. I think the more you talk to people about it the less hollow you will feel, but grieving as much as possible is also a good thing as long as it is in a healthy way and you do it with a positive light.

I wouldn't know how to anwser your question since i've never lost a friend, but again my condolences.

That is one of the worst feelings. It's been said and used in many movies so I can't say it again without being corney, but it's like how a father misses her daughter, but only realises just how much so whenher daughters friend phones up to ask if Sarah is home and wants to goto the movies, and the dad is left standing there with phone in hand, wondering what to say, that Sarah isn't with us anymore.

Sobs.

i think its just ebcuase when u see them you jsut realized how young they were and how close u were to the person u dont believe its true.. I had a friend pass away in a drunk driving accident and everytime i see their profile its just surreal becuase u knew the person so well and talked to them and saw them all the time and now they are just gone.
