Why is youtube so slow?

I can watch HD videos just fine on sites like this one and stuff but whenever I get on youtube I have to wait for a low quality video to even load. Why the heck is it so slow. It never used to be this slow.

Seems fine.

i think its because they're cramming more ads on there.

I think they reduced the buffer length or something. Most of them load quickly for me, but skipping forward isn't really an option any more.jimmyjammer69
