Pretty much this, but everything else is amazing. They are 2nd favorite band (at least, pre-resistance). But.... radiohead will always, i mean ALWAYS be better. Thom yorke is an amazing singer
I didn't say Joey just uses blasts, you said he was dubbed the fastest metal drummer, I was just saying he wasn't. And I've heard many death metal drummers who don't have to rely on blasts to seem good. You could listen to any of the later death albums and there isn't too many blasting, just awesome play.

And what don't you find appealing about the whole sub genre?dethklok,dawn of ashes(if people would consider them that even) but it just sounds like a mish mesh of sounds like blast beats hitting the same not over and over and the singer just growling and stuff it almost seems like every death metal band sounds the same without anything to tell who is who. i hate it

Well, you have death metal, technical death metal (More complex) , death/doom (very slow, downbeat), melodic death metal (large emphasis on melody) etc. That would fit more into tech death I guess.

They were basically showing crappy deathcore and the shocking poster child of death metal lol, sounds like they don't know much. Bolt Thrower are pretty essential death metal. Also I'd suggest any progressive death metal if you want a lot of different sounds to your death metal.

I love when people insist that their favorite band is the greatest. IMO, Radiohead is the greatest band of the century, so far, but I'm not making a thread about it, because not everyone agrees with my opinion.
