The Joker was what made the movie so awesome, but it had nothing to do with Heath's death.

yeah, I mean if he was still alive I would not have been like, wow he was great, but he is still alive so it wasnt awesome...it be the opposite, id be like that was AMAZING!! We need another, he needs to do it again, he needs to be return in the sequel, then my hype for the next would far exceed the hype I had for this one.

My assumption is that Joker stole the show, correct me if I"m wrong. I think that a lot if not most people who went to see this movie was the fact that Joker is in it. Batman is probably the most popular hero while Joker is the most popular villian.

goodlay

And why did people go see Jurassic Park? For the dinosaurs. Just about every movie has one thing about it that grabs people's attention and make them want to see it. The Joker is the attention grabber here, and as I said in the previous post I just made, there's a whole lot more to love about this movie that will definately make them glad they came. Oh, I also want to add something... not only did Ledger perform the greatest Joker, but he, IMO, performed the greatest villain of any movie.

A movie like this you would assume that you know...BATMAN would grab peoples attention not the villain.

The villians have always been a big part of Batman...

I don't think it was the case with Batman Begins, at least not for me or anyone else I knew or talked to. Fine friend, you went to see a movie because you are a fan of Batman Begins and I"m sorry for accusing you for that. Though I still don't think I'm wrong about what I said about Joker being a very big reason why so many people are still in line.

I hope you realize the point you are trying to make in this thread is absolutely dumb. "THEY WENT TO SEE THE MOVIE CAUSE THEY WERE INTERESTED IN IT" Wow, really? It doesn't matter what intrigued them, the fact of the matter is they wanted to see the movie. So, why the hell does it matter?

If it doesn't matter then why are you so angry?

You do realize Heath died, right? Besides the fact that he definitely won't be in the next Batman, I can't imagine them trying to replace him. No one could ever top that performance. So the Joker might not come back either (at least in this line of Batman movies).

I think the Joker will come back, not likely to give a performance as well as Heath Ledger did, but Ledger set the tone, someone else just has to follow it.

Come on, we all know the reason why everyone is going to watch this movie. Nobody gives a damn about Batman and the guy playing him, everyone is there to see Joker or to see a dead actor's last movie. I haven't seen the movie yet as $11 plus waiting in a huge ass line isn't worth it no matter what movie it is but the huge interest in a villain is quite odd. Everyone likes the bad guy in this case, but why? He is still a villain, he is still murdering people so what's the big deal? Why so not serious?Ilived

Not worth waiting for? Oh yes it is, very much so. Don't be an ignoramus and go see it now. This is easily the best superhero movie of the lot, great action, great character development and you never know where the plot is going to end up going. The Joker isn't just any villain, he's a magnificent bastard.

Whatevs. You should see the movie before you make assumptions about it. The Joker wasn't even the most interesting character in the movie. He's one of the leads, for sure, but the movie is *about* Batman and Harvey Dent. Christian Bale is one of my favorite actors, and Batman Begins was a great movie, so regardless of Heath Ledger's health or lack thereof I was planning on seeing the movie more than once.

The Joker is an iconic character, so whoever plays him is going to be very highly scrutinized. I don't know if you're old enough to remember, but Jack Nicholson stole the show in the first Tim Burton Batman movie.
