LOL yeah me and my girl use to play halo 3 online. Right after the match is over she would get those remarks often, but i couldnt help but laugh its freaking hilarious, (i dont do that but funny to listen too)

I don't even use my mic unless the other team starts trash talking..doesn't matter to me what gender you are when i'm playing with/against you online..if you're good then yay..if you suck then..:(

im the same unless im with friends. one thing i hate and really puts a bug in my ass is when you are owning the match and people just call you "terrible kid" "noob using sn!p3r?!?1" basically anoying sore losers, makes t-bagging to worth it lol :D

I get annoyed by little kids randomly spewing swears and glitching...and trash talking..

One thing that aggravates me about female gamers is that when one is on your team the whole ****ing team talks over you when you're trying to tell them "watch out behind you" or something in an attempt to talk to her..

Thing is there is a flip side to this too. I have definitely come across some attention whores on XBL who start talking about their boobs and **** and repeatedly make it known they are a women. It is both sad and annoying.

At this point though I don't even really bother talking with new people on XBL just because people are just annoying and stupid in general on there. If I am not playing with friends I am either in a party chat with friends or I take off my headset...

I am sure there are some girls out there who do do that as well. The thing is, I never have, and still caught that. I was just trying to help my team win by kicking the crap out of the opposing team. And cause I was doing better then most of the guys on my team they apparently were offended, so they took to offending me, which was really uncalled for. I didnt talk about my boobs, I wasnt provocative, and was just tryin to play. And I get that. Its happened more then once, cause one time i can forgive, twice even. But for it to keep happening just about every time - a rare occasion it didnt - then screw it. I can have fun by myself.

Oh believe me I know how dumb the people on XBL are. I don't doubt for a second that you have been through all that. Hell, you can even get crap on THIS SITE for being a girl. I have seen some posts on here that made me want to slap some users.

Like I said, I don't even bother talking to people on XBL besides friends now and that is without having to be the victim of the crap you have put up with....

There are some cool people on there, but they are REALLY hard to find...

There's nothing better than trash talking online, I do it all the time. I have a dual personality, offline I'm nice to everyone and then online I will be a jerk because it's fun.

There is a pretty decent number of female games out there, it's just generally a thing guys seem to do more.

Me for example, I got into an argument with my boyfriend today about which game was better. COD or Metal Gear Solid. Guess what side I was on? :D

Hey, I know that this song has been sung before but think about this...why are there a lack of female gamers in the gaming society. I mean, it's not like video games are a guy thing like Axe brand deodrant or anything. Yet whenever you take a good look at the gaming world you see that there is a huge gap between the no of guys out there gaming and the number of girls who game. Even the ones that do game are often not hardcore gamers and are only into soft titles.
Any idea why this has happened or what can be done about this then puh-lease post it.

Males are more dominant... literally, the part of a males brain which is responsible for "dominancy" is larger in males than in females, which is why it may be more rewarding for a male to get a headshot than for a female :P - NOTE: Not sure if this is fully true, read about it a long time ago. Also because most game characters are males, and women can't relate. But the true reason... there is no good kitchen simulator :P

imho: -girls don't like competition as much as boys - games are about competing -a lot of games are violent, which gives a general idea of violence in games - girls are less inclined to accept violence -boys like to brag more - games are a good environment for this

I blame shoddy marketing. The only console that is really marketed for everyone is the Wii. The only girls I know who play any games only play something on the Wii or Guitar Hero/Rock Band for PS3 or 360.

I'm not completely sure about about this but I think all of those notions are false and they're just how society deems girls should behave like instead of how they behave psychologically. Also, games are not all about competing.

Do you know what imho stands for? That was based on MY OPINION on the girls I've known. It may not be true, but statistically speaking, a much lower percentage of girls are gamers from all girls compared to the same percentage with boys.

Actually, I know some pretty dominant females. And some very subbish males. ... :| And when I get a headshot, I throw my hands up in the air and yell "BOOM HEADSHOT" more enthusiastically then ive seen any of my guy friends. The adrenaline I get from it makes my legs vibrate to the point I think my cellphone is ringing in my pocket.. but wait.. its not in my pocket! I can relate to a character if it has pixil bewbs or not. Yea to play as a woman character - to have a choice is really awesome - but I think even guys think thats a neat choice to have. I mean for anything guys may like to oogle the female characters body or watch her ass when hes running her around. *shrugs* Sometimes I even do that, and laugh about it. Not every single woman/girl... and not every man/boy are built the same mentally. Just fyi. And there are LOTS of girl gamers out there. Maybe they just dont like xbox live.

My point is to explain the low number of girl gamers compared to boy gamers, based on my opinion.
