The first Bioshock was sweet because Rapture was built under the ocean. It was new and blew my mind, but it also made me remember the underwater city that Jar Jar Binks came from in Episode I.... Then Bioshock 2 came out, reviews were average, but my main concern was that it was basically the original Bioshock with more plasmids and gene tonics. AND it was underwater, nothing much new. Bioshock Infinite comes out with a trailer and we see that this new city, Columbia, is actually floating in air (it looked like the buildings were supported by some hot air balloon method). In my opinion this game is going to be great, and it is bringing something new to the table for the Bioshock series. So on to the point... I believe this gaming series will be finished after Infinite, unless they pull another Bioshock 2 and extend what has already been created, mainly because of the atmosphere and the settings that this game takes place. Think about it, Bioshock took place under the ocean, "Infinite" is going to take place in the sky, and these are two worldly extremes for building a utopian city. The only other extreme setting for another Bioshock game would be to build a city on land! But wouldn't Bioshock just be like every other game out there at this point? People might play it, but it will not be the same... What do you think?

Space, Subterranean, lava, clouds, forest, desert, a boat, a train. These are all different places the new bioshocks could be in!

FIrst

wrong forum

Second. I believe they are taking the Bioshock franshise into a new interesting direction. Instead of the franshise being based on a single improbable human act, an underwater city, its now based on the fact of humans doing the impossible during those time periods. THey have expanded the possibilities of it. While yes deep in my heart Rapture will have a special place, I like the creativity they have and am excited to see this game and the others that follow.
