The US will stay on top because the US has the biggest and most powerful military in the world. Furthermore the US will stop at nothing to keep it this way therefore money becomes no object as it is with the gov. The rest of the world can ***** and moan but it won't do any good. Besides if anyone should be allowed to do what the US is doing in terms of military dominance and advanced civilization it should be the US. After all if it was not for the US back in the days of WW2 there is a very good chance the other countries would not be as they are if they would even be considered countries. In a sense a lot of other places owe the US. There are very few others that I would say don't really owe the US like Russia but that is because they held their own in WW2.

You have no idea about what you are talking about... do you? Sounds like mindless babble to me. Diablo112688

I know exactly what I'm talking about. The US will remain dominate in military power and have the latest technology among other things that the top dog has. Unlike a country such as Africa or India.

The reason the US has the most dominate military power is because we have the largest economy of any nation and spend the most money on our military. We can't afford to keep doing that.

Yeah thats true but if anyone does owe the US its the other countries whether they want to admit it or not is their choice. I didn't see them stop Germany or Japan from taking over...........what where they waiting for? Therefore they should feel fortunate to even be alive or even in more detail to be able to live their life as they are able to live because without the US, I'm not sure life would be quite what it is

We are clearly on different wave lengths. If the US had not won world war 2 there is a good chance your parents would not have even met or been alive to give you life. That is unless your Japanese or German.

We could argue the Russians gave the most in WW2, certainly in terms of loses. Let's just say everybody mucked in, there was a positive outcome and we're all friends again now.

Russia is right up there with the US. Russia is going to remain dominate as well. They have earned the right to do so.

Well, if Hitler won and unified Europe, maybe they would be number o :)

There never was going to be just a unification of Europe. It was never going to stop till everything was half in the half with the Japanese. And even then there is probably a good chance that some where down the road Germany would have turned on them.

Ultimately, military power is dependent upon economic power.

Ergo, there is an inevitable relinquishing of the throne coming.

Okay for me actually. :PIf Hitler unified entire Earth, we can kiss world conflict goodbye. Sadly no one likes unification.

It was not just about unification. It was also about being dominate. It would not be such a fairy tale ending. I'm sure there would have been a lot more concentration camps around the world for different groups of people and of course if Hitler doesn't like you then your screwed.

There wouldn't be any Americans, Chinese, Mexicans, etc.........Just Germans.

In other words, you don't understand world economics. China will inevitably surpass the US in economic power. There is no way to stop this happening in the long term since it is driven by population/demographics. Once this happens, China will be able to close the gap year by year, should they choose to do so. Ultimately, China will be able to do to the US what the US was able to do to the USSR.

The US won't stop spending on its military. The US is too big. The US economy goes down the drain and now the US wants to reduce its air force, navy, army, marines, etc.... Just because they can't afford it when the US is all over the world doing various things with its military. Its not going to stop and money is no object.

If the US is so advanced, why is it not ranked in the top 10 for the "Human Development Index"?

There are things you can't buy in this world no matter how much money you have. For example, Michael Jackson cannot buy F-22 Raptor no matter how much money he were to offer the Air Force if he were still alive. Also, there comes of technology and only letting certain places have so much of it to advance their military only so far.

Everything is locked in place. Hopefully someone doesn't get out of control but even if someone does I like my cards in this case.

There are things you can't buy in this world no matter how much money you have. For example, Michael Jackson cannot buy F-22 Raptor no matter how much money he were to offer the Air Force if he were still alive. Also, there comes of technology and only letting certain places have so much of it to advance their military only so far.

Are we talking about individual people or countries here? They are very different when it comes to wealth and power.

Both but mainly countries in this case. As I said before military's are limited as to how far they can go in certain areas.

Only him, not America

Its too bad but thats how it is. There is a limited number of resources with an unlimited number of needs. Someone has to get cut off till there is more resources available.

Well if we're talking about countries then dont bring analogies like that in. If someone has the money and someone has the goods, it will be sold to them whether in a politically acceptable way or not.
Military's are limited how? Morally or technologically? If it is technologically, then whomever has the best weapons wins. If its morally, well thats just the country at hand limiting themself for whatever reason.
Anyways, why do you think the Saudi's have so much influence over the economy?

I think you miss understood, when I said "were" I was referring to America, I'm an American.
