Why we have so many stupid people in America?

Almost the entire population believes in God.   Everything must have a reason because God says so.   Your action and your way of life is governed by your God.  And Bush is leading the way.   If you rely on your God to guide you in life, you are the stupidest person on this planet.

I assure you that stupid people are everywhere.

However, I have had a theory lately. It seems the fatter someone is, the more stupid they are. I know it sounds awful, but the statistics don't lie. I can't tell what the correlation is, if fat people are stupid because fat clogs the bloodflow to their brain, or if stupid people just tend to get fat.

But either way, with America breaking the obesity scale and becoming fatter and fatter every day, that is my number one guess. Aside from the God factor.Yarcofin

No.  Opinions aren't facts.  There has to be a correlation between the two.  I doubt one will ever exist.  That would mean that intelligence varies with the fluctuation of weight gain or loss. 

Actually, one only need to look at anorexic actresses to see that the opposite is more likely to be true.;)

I don't want to start a big race thing, but you should see the stats for blacks/hispanics in troubled neighbourhoods.

That would correlate with the hieracrch of needs.  The basic needs have to be taken care of first...and a poor neighborhood would struggle with those needs.

Hell, here in Michigan, Damn governor Granholm is taking away MORE money from our schools, even in light of like half the schools in Detroit closing down...

I don't see how obesity affects neurons in the brain...Even if it did Tobacco, Coffee, and Alchohol kills brain cells;that would mean people who eat or do these things are stupid as well.

I should also ask how the creator of this thread is judging "intelligence". If you are going by IQ tests, they are widely accepted as unreliable. If your first language isn't the language of the test, you will do much worse than you should. Also if you gave the test to someone that lives in a tribe in the rainforest, they wouldn't even be able to write their name on it. Does that mean they aren't intelligent? No.. they have a different type of intelligence. Just like if you got dropped off in the middle of the Amazon, you would not have the knowledge to survive. Intelligence is not dependent on education or knowledge.  It's the measure of how the brain reasons.  Two distinctly different things.  IQ tests should not test knowledge...if they do then they are not a true IQ test.

But yeah, I will be amazed if someone ever decides that maybe our military budget is too high and that maybe the money should go towards helping those low ****areas.....
