I heard something about lucas writing the general script for all of them, but only the second half was originaly made into films because the first half was to hard to do. So they were forgotten and 4-6 were made instead. I doubt if that's true though.
On the topic of George Lucas; does anyone else think his latest films are a bit crap?
The first movies were always numberd 4, 5, 6. Like was said before.. he thought they 4 would be easier, and he liked the story better in the middle. The first Starwars was a huge gamble for him. At that time he had no idea if anymore would get made.
