They must have been fighting type pokemon to have that much psychic damage done to them.FrostyPhantasmThere's always one :P
What a crapbag! I thought my neighbour was bad but he seems like a saint compared to this guy!tofu-lion91What did your neighbor do?

he inflicted unfathomable psychic damagetenaka2
That's awesome.
He must have a psi level of at least 9.
Psi? PSI=Pounds per square inch. And 9 is low. I worked with 55,000 PSI when I was 18.[QUOTE="onebeelo"][QUOTE="Hexagon_777"]True, but I am still curious. We need to find a loyal citizen of OT to find an answer to this.i can confirm kiddy porn is easy to find on the internet :D That's disgusting. Not to mention something totally safe to mention on the internet..22Toothpicks

[QUOTE="Hexagon_777"]Google? :?
Hexagon_777
While I'm certainly not going to try it , I don't think you can find child pornography on Google.
Though I suppose if he had the patience to look up how to hack a network it would be pretty easy for him to find child pornography.
Not that it matters, it doesn't excuse him from his actions if he found it on Google or not.
True, but I am still curious. We need to find a loyal citizen of OT to find an answer to this. I've run across the stuff MULTIPLE times during google searches unrelated to CP. One time in web search results, and then several years later I had about a dozen or two dozen CP images displayed in my image search results. I'd imagine that if you were looking for the stuff via google it wouldn't be too hard. It's also worth noting that if you use a P2P network sharing program it's almost impossible to not run across CP unless you have a filter installed that blocks that stuff from popping up in your search results. Anyway, this guy was a moron. TWO WEEKS to crack WEP? Seriously? It takes most people less than 15 minutes. Then there's the fact that he printed out all those tutorials, WROTE OUT his revenge plans, and was most likely checking his own email (or was using his daily-use install of Windows) when doing all that illegal stuff on the other network (hence why his Comcast account and name would have popped up in their traffic). And the best part is that the feds actually offered him a plea bargain for just a measly two years in prison by admitting to the Biden letter threat and they wouldn't even try him for any of the other stuff he pulled, but he refused it. As a result the case went to trial and prosecutors threw on the child porn charges (which comes with lifetime sex offender registration), identity theft charges, hacking charges, etc. and now he's going away for 18 years.[QUOTE="onebeelo"]if they falsey accused him of kissing their son on the lips its not fair at all for them to get away scott free while he gets 18 years22ToothpicksYes because a false accusation is equal to the crap he put them through. :/Not equal but being accused of being a pedobear is very, very damaging to a person's reputation. Even if it's not true, people will still treat you as if you were one. If someone accused me of being a pedobear I would have reacted in a similar fashion.

Professional journalism is dead. :P[QUOTE="howlrunner13"]
[QUOTE="onebeelo"] you take one news article and make all these assumptions that you label as fact the problem is we're never going to know both sides of the story but if someone came out for reasonand said you kissed their 4 year old son, people will forever change their opinion of you and view you as some sick peado. people like that would even be prone to attacks from the neighbourhood if word got out if that happened to me i would seriously want my revenge aswell, and at least this guy didnt resort to pyshical violence.onebeelo
I'm making all these assumptions?
They TRACED all of this stuff back to the neighbor.
The FBI was called because of threatening emails he sent in their names.
These are all SERIOUS crimes.
As for him being a pedo or not, well we don't know what really happened there. But his actions prove him to be sick and the fact that he knows where to download child porn doesn't help his case.
sorry i dont know why i said you were making assumptions, got ahead of myselfBut that does nothing to excise this guy for what he did. He deserves his time.
[QUOTE="Ars Technica"]A Minnesota hacker prosecutors described as a "depraved criminal" was handed an 18-year prison term Tuesday for unleashing a vendetta of cyberterror that turned his neighbor's lives into a living nightmare.
Barry Ardolf, 46, repeatedly hacked into his next-door neighbors' WiFi network in 2009, and used it to try and frame them for child pornography, sexualharassment, variouskinds of professional misconduct and to send threatening e-mail to politicians, including Vice President Joe Biden.
His motive was to get back at his new neighbors after they told the police he'd kissed their 4-year-old son on the lips.
"Barry Ardolf has demonstrated by his conduct that he is a dangerous man. When he became angry at his neighbors, he vented his anger in a bizarre and calculated campaign of terror against them," (PDF) prosecutor Timothy Rank said in a court filing. "And he did not wage this campaign in the light of day, but rather used his computer hacking skills to strike at his victims while hiding in the shadows.

The above is only an excerpt. Here's the source.
What a read! That's some major vengeance right there!
if i was his neighbor i would go to prison to laugh at him
Well technically he was also viewing child pornography (in an attempt to pin it on his neighbors) that alone is deserving of the prison time.good, glad to see this guy was caught
but 18 years for a non-violent crime seems a bit much
