I really don't understand: why does it undermine the UK's security for someone just to know how many nukes they have, when they have publicly said how many nukes they have?

maybe but this only strengthens the argument of people like me in Britain, who think we should get rid of 20 billion worth of useless nuclear weapons. if america is happy to sell us this, and then stab in the back, we might as well not bother and live under your nuclear shield for free

I know plenty about British law. Clearly if they support wikileaks while America condemns, it really says a lot about America and its "free speech".

I really don't see how this is that dangerous. Britian as an ally is also not a big gain for us. They went from worlds greatest empire to Island in Europe. Sorry brits. I believe an alliance with countries like India and Brazil possible superpowers of the future are more important.

Also I don't believe the number of nukes we claim we have or how many russia claims they have. Even with the inspections.I'm sure we both have a secret stockpile hidden somewhere deep in our terrority.

Oh, I agree. But I'm not arguing that, I'm not exactly defending Britain on their secretive policies. I'm merely pointing out that they won't like this because they have other policies. Whether I agree or disagree with it is a completely different discussion.
