I just spat chocolate milk all over my keyboard. thanks.Cloud_Insurance
Do you want me to hug you for that or what?
Now that I think about it, they have lot's of fans and millions of albums sold. Every record the haved released has gotten plenty of attention by the people. Boulevard of Broken Dreams by Green Day, I miss You by Blink 182, and Californication by RHCP are huge songs that people still hear. I have a feeling that they will become classicsin 10 years. Radiohead could also be seen as a legend for releasing a free album in the net and leaving EMI music. What do you think about this? Will Green Day, Blink 182, Radiohead, and RHCP be seen as legends in the future? :DMrEnvelope
They will be remembered, certainly. I'm not a fan though, and would be disappointed if this was how people remembered the music of the '00s
RHCP - hell yes the will be remeberd
greenday - maybe, not sure, i like afew songs
blink 182 - HELL to the no

Maybe you don't like Blink 182 but there is a hell lot of people who loves them and would do dirty stuff for a reunion. I don't personally like them so much .
I like RHCP and Blink, but not so much green day.
but yeah it could happen. Just like the Jonas Brothers ... ugh. I remember reading somewhere that someone said they are the next beatles -- and I just laughed.

The Jonas are like the Hanson of the 00's they'll probably dissapear in a year or so.

WHo said that and why are they still breathing?
[QUOTE="lonewolf604"]People on these boards hate Green Day but they were big back in the mid 90's, and are still pretty big to this day. Red Hots will definitely be remembered.Film-Guy
Big doesnt mean good.
who cares? 10 million people bought their dookie album, those people will remember them[QUOTE="Film-Guy"][QUOTE="lonewolf604"]People on these boards hate Green Day but they were big back in the mid 90's, and are still pretty big to this day. Red Hots will definitely be remembered.ligerz76

RHCP will be, for sure. they've had numerous big hits, and have left their mark on music... and the fact that they've been able to endure despite their internal struggles is pretty incredible. Blood Sugar Sex Magic and Californication will last.
Green Day will at least be seen as the catalyst for the pop punk movement... while they were not the first to perform in the genre, they certainly were the first to get extremely rich off of it. IMO, American Idiot will be a footnote to their legacy, and Dookie will be the one that they are most remembered for because of it's historical musical importance. Broken Dreams has only been out for a few years, so of course radio is still playing it. wait until the decade turns over... then we'll know if it makes it.
Blink 182 will be seen as riding the coat tails of bands like Green Day. they had a handful of hits that were more timely than of any real quality.
Radiohead will, of course, be known as one of the major players of the late 90s and through the 00s. with the sales they've enjoyed, the popularity they've had and most importantly the critical acclaim they've drawn, they are destined for the R and R hall of fame (even if their newest effort is incredibly over-rated).

In Rainbows and Kid A FTW:D
For some reason I wasnt so fond of In Rainbows, I think at times it tried to hard to be experimental and the singing was even harder to understand than usual. Still a pretty good album.

Well Jigsaw Falling Into Place and Weird Fishes are both great songs from In Rainbows. Anyways , I agree that this album tried to hard to be experimental but I still enjoyed it like any other Radiohead album.

Kid A and OK Computer more like it :D
But, no, I cannot see any of those bands other then RHCP and Radiohead being remembered for much good. RHCP maybe for BloodSexSugarMagick, and RH certainly for their non-ending streak of just plain incredible music, no matter what album, they've never faltered.

I think they tried too hard to sound normal. I think they tried too hard to make a rock album when that's not really what they should be doing. there's going back to basics and then there's being something you aren't, and that's why In Rainbows is nowhere near as appreciated as their other albums of late.Green day: no
Blink 182: hell no
Rhcp: possibly.
I think Lupe fiasco, Evile and Coldplay will also have influenced a bunch of artists 10-15 years from now.
