I very highly doubt they are trying to make nuclear weapons. But even if they are its not like they would actually use them. They are too proud of there Persian ancestry and culture to end it all from us nuking them after they nuke Israel.

While you are right, before he is taken out, he will most likely kill ATLEAST 1 person before people shoot him. And that's if he doesnt decide to go after the other people who dont have guns, then you have to wait for other people that do have guns to come in and help.

Right but this is just one mentally unstable person not a country.

Pakistan has nukes and they have yet to try a use them on India, which is there top rival. Also India has them and they have yet to use them on Pakistan.

The Iranian leader may be a little crazy but he is not stupid. He is not about to risk having his country glow in the dark from a response to him nuking Israel or the US.

Also if you think the insurgency in Iraq is bad now. You know how terrible it would be in Iraq if we were to topple the government. Nearly the entire populous would be against us. Most of them may not like the current government but they would not just sit back and let foreigners invade there country.

And if we were to launch airstrikes on nuclear production facilities in Iran, such as Natanz, I am sure Iran would send its army into Iraq and attack our soldiers there. Iran is a superpower in the middle east. And a war with them would most certainly mean a draft.

Also if you think the insurgency in Iraq is bad now. You know how terrible it would be in Iran if we were to topple the government. Nearly the entire populous would be against us. Most of them may not like the current government but they would not just sit back and let foreigners invade there country.

And if we were to launch airstrikes on nuclear production facilities in Iran, such as Natanz, I am sure Iran would send its army into Iraq and attack our soldiers there. Iran is a superpower in the middle east. And a war with them would most certainly mean a draft.

Once Iran starts attracting customers to their oil contracts, which is nothing but a bid to undercut the current oil dealers in Euros, will we see us invading yet another country in the name of security from yet some more supposed WMDs at the hands of Iran

That's kinda the problem with the American attitude. I understand we all want to make sure certain powers/technologies etc dont make it into certain countries hands, but who the hell are we to dictate who can and who can't hold these advancements in technology?

We're the western world. A nuclear capabable Iran can become a possible threat in the long-run...therefore we can not allow them to gain such a technological advancement. It' as simple as that.
