I am a Chinese. I am a bit afraid that USA will attack China one day. Actually I think the communist government in China is not that "communist" nowsdays. "Communist" is just a name for the government and it is just a bit difficult to remove that name. And most of Chinese people love their country very much although the government is not so good. Hope forever peace exist between USA and China.
 NO! ...just because the USA has attacked other countries does not mean we will be attacking every country in the world or your country. Yes the chinese goverrment is a communist government, but there not threatening peace like the Iraqi government was, the iran government or N.Korea is.
The United States does not have the internal resources to attack such a large and populous country. They do not have the man power like they did 30-60 years ago. Their economy is failing, slowly and surely. So they will not have an economic base to support war for much longer.
Not to mention the fact that China is one of the permanent members of the UN, making it practically impossible for the US to do something and be able get away with it. Plus, the US is only going to attack weak countries in which they can profit from, they are not in this for the politics of it.

the US does not have enough troops to fight a ground war with China, but China doesnt have the ability to move enough troops from its soil to the USA's. Anyway the USA is not a war hungry country, we have no desire to go to war with China and I doubt we ever will. All these "Will teh USA attack so and so" threads are getting old...

No, are you crazy? China is one of the largest manufacturers and exporters of goods to the US. China also holds the largest amount of US debt, we mess with them, they ask for their money back. Another thing, remember two weks ago when the Chinese stock market dipped and everyone on Wall Street panicked? Well if the US attacked china, it would pretty much ruin the world economy including the US. Would we attack them any ways? because they are communists? Please, we got over that years ago.

Japan... We wont attack Japan and I think only Japan attack us as they always want to get our land. It happened 60 years ago. About Taiwan, we never attack our compatriot.
China is sliding into the role that the USSR held during the 50's-80's. The are becoming a superpower and as such it would be ignorant for either the US or China to attack each other. The concepts of the Cold War will hold some parity and balance between the two. Also, if the US goes China goes, but not just from a war stand point but from a economic stand point. The NEED each other to survive. Globalization will ensure this.
Its the smaller rogue countries that the US and every other country of influence must pay heed to...

Probably not. China is preparing to fight a war with the US, so I'm going to go ahead and say that they they will attack the US. Japan and Taiwan are realistic scenarios- if relations break down even further with Japan, there's always a possibility and the Taiwan scenario is almost a lock to happen. However, China can't win any realistic battle scenario. It's military is far too weak and dated to pose any serious threat (other than a nuclear war), especially when you consider the situation in regards to the navies. However, the US couldn't occupy China without boosting its manpower significantly, but the two main scenarios for war do not involve defeating China and holding onto the land.

I think that communism will take off once currency becomes obsolete, once humans find a way of acquiring resources without the need for human labour.
but we will always need human labour we can't have robots designed if we don't know how they work thats how they go start killing us all any way democracy works it allows free thinking and allows us to vote for politcal partys so we get a say on what we want from our goverments

It was an old Chinese communications satellite not an American satellite, and it might not have even been over China. It was a demonstration that they could shoot down our satellites at that orbit level, which is somewhat threatening.

That's a good point. Since big corporations have plenty of say in the way things go in the American economy, as well as....just about everything else (schools even) in the country....it'd make sense that, if the government keeps its current mindset, that America won't attack based on that reason, as well as the whole "China being part of the UN" thing.

Only if China attacks first. And the US will most likely go to war with China over Tawain.
China's government is communist. However, the economy is not. That will soon change, however. The Chinese people will begin to understand things like freedom and want it.When that day comes, the government will have to supress the people. And that will be a very bloody day indeed . . . Â
I don't think it will get to actual war. Maybe something like an "economical Cold War" as China's economy overtakes the USA if it continues to grow at it's current rate.
