It was decent low budget movie. What did you want the killer to do, play tea party with the victims?Videodogg

Its a horror movie, what do you expect a happy ending?
Remember, that Wolf Creek was INSPIRED by the real life Australian outback serial killer, Ivan Milat. As an avid horror film fan, I found Wolf Creek to be awesome! Disturbing at times, and it does it's job well as a horror film :)BohemianAndy

So because they are nice peole they should live? I disagree, the nice ones die first!

Its unsettling. No rainbows and skittles at the end of this movie. Thats what a good horror movie is supose to do, get under your skin. The killer killed men and women equally...and kids. Remember the video the girl was watching? They only showed three people get murdered in the whole movie...not a very high body count.

Of course, I own a copy of Cannibal Holocaust. Yes, the cannibals that killed the documentarians deserved that. But overall, Cannibal Holocaust is simply a sad trip into exploitation horror, with the pointless killing of animals. People that praise the film for artistic value are idiots.
Moving on, what happened in Wolf Creek was based on a true story. So what if they were nice girls? It HAPPENS to nice people everyday. And remember, this happened to girls and boys who trekked in the Australian outback. I suggest you don't watch the remake of The Hills Have Eyes then...as a "nice" family meets a not-so-nice bunch of cannibals..

Sounds like another SAW or Hostel. I hate those. I hate the fact the people are suffering so and for a terrible reason. For example SAW with dumb jigsaw and his dead baby no one cares about and he deceides to take it out on everyone.chester706Lol, have you even watched either of those movies? Saw is completely different from Hostel, and both are waaaaaaaaay different than Wolf Creek. In Saw, Jigsaw is a "serial killer", that technically never killed anybody, who justifies his horrific actions by saying that he is teaching people the true value of life. I have to agree that Saw 4 sucked (which is what you were referencing with the baby). I actually find the story to be very interesting, especially in the fist two.
Hostel was horrible, just a bunch of dudes killing people really. Never warranted a crappy sequel.

No need to argue with semantics now, as I previously said that it was "inspired".... which is enough of a synonym. Anyway, like I said earlier, if Wolf Creek shocked you and made you think alot afterwards, then it did it's job as a horror movie.

Sometimes, to a killer, it can be satisfying to murder someone, even the "nice" women. It doesn't matter to the killer if they are nice ordinary people. It's a movie anyway. There will be movies where everyone dies and the murderer gets away. It's just how it goes.
then im sure you're familiar with Cannibal Holocaust; while being incredibly cruel and having actual animal deaths, the 4 explorers killed by the cannibals deserved it; the cannibals had a motive. the explorers raped one of the natives and burned down their village. but the girls in Wolf Creek were nice, ordinary people out for a trip. then this freak comes in and kills them for no reason. Man what ever happened to the good old horror movies like The Thing, Evil Dead series, and the Exorcist... The gore fests like Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Saw, wolf creek etc etc, are not enjoyable in my eyes what so ever.. They are ok to watch once, but after that and I start questioning a persons sanity when it comes to movies like Texas Chainsaw massacre.sSubZerOoTexas Chainsaw (original) had hardly any blood. No killings were shown on screen.

I never watched the movies myself but some people gave me a run down of them cause I wanted to know why people watched these things.[QUOTE="sSubZerOo"] Man what ever happened to the good old horror movies like The Thing, Evil Dead series, and the Exorcist... I am talking about the recent rendition of it.. Which was gory as hell.. To me it bothers me that people actually buy this movie like they are gonna watch it on a regular basis.

I haven't seen the remake, though it might be worth renting for the heck of it.yeah it was well made for what it was.. But its not something I would ever watch again.. IN my mind I really question a persons sanity if they watch movies like that like a dozen times over....
I saw the exorcist and I thought it was very interesting because it was based on a true story and I was never scared during the film. Seriously.chester706If you enjoyed the movie even just a little, try reading the book. It's better, as usual.

If I remember correctly, he got cancer and then took that out on everyone else.

If I am watching the film by my self, in the middle of the night.. I will be scared of it. Alot of the scenes in that movie made me uneasy.. Such as the mother going up in the addict after hearing noises.. And when the girl is at the doctor and it freeze frames a black screen with a white face and jagged teeth grinning.

I thought it was interesting because of the God vs Devil type thing. Religion stuff like that entices me sometimes. I watched a documentary on the Return of Jesus, the Anitichrist, and the End Times. When I looked up at the clock I realized I watched it for 5 hours or so. Some parts disturbed me like the over exaggerated horror parts but thats it. I may actually read the book now that you mention it.

Not really, he was trying to help them with their problems; because he was similar to their situations. From his POV anyway.oh now I remember....but no need to torture them like that...some of the traps were just cruel

Thats what I thought. I never watched it first hand because I hate seeing people suffer like that. Makes me feel very nervous and unasy. The pure gore though does not affect me just the feeling of the people.[QUOTE="Def_Jef88"]How is violence towards women any worse than violence towards men? sexist!!! :|GUNpoint_
