I won't be watching it.... I LOVED the original episodes, but the movies proved the writers don't know what they're doing any more. They were ridiculously bad.Dark__LinkI've only seen the first two movies. While they did feel like they were missing that... pizazz that the show had, I wouldn't go so far as to say they were ridiculously bad.
But wait, according to an Article they're getting a smaller writing staff. Isn't that a good thing? Think of it, when you pitch an idea, it wouldn't be as many people altering it from the original plot.
Hmmmm...I am a fan of Futurama, as well, but after witnessing what happened to Spongebob, Simpsons, and Family Guy, I'm not going to get myself too hyyped up for these new futuramas...
Even if it's only half as good as it originally was it will still be better than anything else on TV, huzzah!

I think they'll be back and just as good as ever. The movies weren't perfect, but they had to write a movie in such a way it could be cut into three or four episodes which hurt the movies, but back to doing stuff episode to episode should bring them back to the standards of when they left.
I just wonder if they're going to act like nothing happened with the first episode back, or pick up from the end of "Into the Wild Green Yonder?"
Me too. We may end up with something radically different or it may just continue on like usual. We'll just have to wait and see.Im curious as to what they are gonna do considering the cliff hanger ending of the last movie.

Is anyone here going to Comic-Con to see the panel or go get stuff signed by the cast and crew?
I hope they announce a concrete date for when it's coming back, and get signatures all over my Bender head.
In terms of what I'd like to see them do in episodes, I don't think the entire crew has been to Nibbler's home world, so there's a lot of possibilities for comedy there, and I want to see what the rest of Earth's cultures are like in the future. I want to see future China, England, Russia, etc. I know there's glimpses of those countries but I want more.
took Fox long enough to realize that there's a huge market for this show!LanceA63
Yeah the ratings for it were so good on Adult Swim that Comedy Central bought the rights. The ratings there were so good, the four movies got green lit. The sales of those were so good Comedy Central green-lit 13 new episodes. At that point Fox stepped in with their "expertise" and put up the money for another 13 to make up the season of 26 we're getting.
But you know what? I'll take it.
Calm down and think about this for a second. How many of are favourite shows have continued on just to ruin themselves along the way.. now futurama ended itself on a high, but what if they don't live up to the expectations and so kills itself of like so many shows before it? honestly i always wanted more episodes of it.. but i dunno if this will be a good move or a bad move.

Hopefully Comedy Central will use South Park as the lead-in so Futurama gets the maximum number of eyes on it and the show can just keep going and I get a Zoidberg head filled with DVDs to put next to my Bender bust.
I guess Sarah Silverman Program would work as a good lead in, too, sandwiched between South Park and Daily Show would work best, though. Maybe get some more animated series and turn Wednesdays into a cartoon rock block like Fox has on Sundays.
