What's the work culture where you work ?

Mine is depressing, that's why I'm asking that. Nothing is done there so employees feel accomplished.

It is like that at many places ?

It was okay at first, but it gets more and more lame each day.

Same, I'm starting to ask my-self the question why so many people stay there, because there is like... not that many.

It depends -- its awesome since I get along with all of my co-workers. We joke around a lot, message each other (we had a rick rolling session at work once), and its also cool when the clients stop by.

BUT

It gets pretty stressful when clients are pissed, your boss/another agent is pissed, time constraints, when someone you have to deal with is an idiot, or when its slow and I'm bored out of my mind.

Oh yeah, work culture... its business (wear suits and stuff) but people cuss a lot at work and it gives our HR a heart attack lol.

I get along with my co-workers which is great. Time constraints on projects and papers are very stressful for me. My boss is great too; I feel very fortunate.

Can you use the Internet freely? Because, us, they are like : "Internet is there for work purpose, we ask the people to not use it for things non-related to work". I'm thinking to get Internet on cellphone, so that I can at least read my friends mails/forums/check news and stuff like that more often :P

The only thing blocked at work is facebook and myspace (which blows) but everything else is accessible.

The economy revolves around jobs nobody enjoys doing, but they spend 40 years doing them, and they aren't suppose to complain because their culture conditioned them that way.

Why are you complaining? You're the back bone of the pyramid! You're the reason some guy can have millions or billions of dollars. Without you they don't exist. Fact.

work was really nice at first but it's been a drag lately. Some of the older customers are rude but I never tell them off. my boss will send you home if you have a 5 o' clock shadow, she sent me and my other coworker home because of that. My other 2 bosses and coworkers are cool though and are the reason I haven't quit that place yet.

Fantastic, I rarely go in the office, but the few people there are great. My boss is 1000+ miles away, but he's a great guy. On the road (salesman) all the time in my area so I don't have to go to far, and all my computer work, e-mails, quotes, ect.. I do here in my office at home.

I love my job. My coworkers and I talk all day through our cubicles, we joke, we laugh (even our boss joins along in all of our conversations)... we are basically like a family and there is never really a dull day.

I just started my second job; an overnight stocking position at Michael's. The only downside is it's about a 35 minute drive to work. I love it so far though. Yeah it's just manual labor, but there's only 6 of us working from 9:30pm until 6am, and everyone is extremely laid back and cool. $8.45 an hour so I'm not complaining about anything really. Hell, they said we can wear headphones while we work! No uniforms, show up in whatever is most comfortable. Another crappy part is once I'm done with my night shift, I have to go back to my other job, which is from 7am until 2pm. :(
