We'll be closer to WW3 tomorrow, the day after, and so on.
The world is relatively more peaceful compared to decades before. However, there are countries becoming unstable such as some of the BRICs and Middle East and North Africa (I'm looking at you, Saudi Arabia) which is concerning if you're worried about future conflicts and instability.
The likelihood of World War 3 happening is very, very low mostly because of how the world has becoming more connected, peace is more desirable (people who lived through the World Wars don't want another one), and nukes. Could it happen? Yes but it would require a series of events that would lead two or more dominant countries into a massive war. It's just not likely.
I wouldn't lose any sleep over this.
