Worried about JJ Abrams directing Star Wars?

Why are people so mad at Hayden Christensen for being so whiney and all that jazz when Anakin was written to be like that by George Lucas? Hayden was just acting out what was written for his character. What if Jason Statham played Anakin. He would have done the same thing. Would we forever hate Jason Statham for that as well, even if it wasn't his fault and was doing what he was hired to do?

I think it is more of any issue of Hayden just being an absolutely AWFUL actor. I mean he is REALLY bad and should have never landed such a big role in a major franchise like that....

The thing that upsets me the most is that I dont see the director's passion (beside lens flare) or unique style in Star Wars. I don't know what it will be about, and I think that it will be decent, but without a soul.

He's actually a pretty decent actor, but in Star Wars suffered from the same affliction that every other actor did - poor dialog coupled with poor direction.

It's not George Lucas, it can only be better than the prequel trilogy.

Yeah, I think he is a decent actor too. I think it's extremely unfair when actors get the bad end of the stick for something like this that is beyond their control.

Anything is a step up from George Lucas, except M Night Shayamalan

As long as the story is good without heavily depending on special effects...don't really care who directs it.

I am curious about Abrams handles this greatly popular space opera. Will he make the new trilogy action-oriented like Star Trek and also like it, include short moments of drama? I hold the unpopular opinion that the prequel trilogy of Star Wars is good. That said, I hope he takes the story-telling of the original trilogy and combines it with the action of the sequel trilogy.

I haven't thought about it much. I'll consider seeing it if there is good reception.

Well he did LOST so..NO not worried at all..brilliant..and he has done movies before that have been really good..so..NO again..he is more than capable

Not too worried, i did't like the last star trek movie but he still couldn't do any worse than Lucas
