They were all good. I've never come across a bad book... unless of course it was a romance noval. Which we were never required to read.

And Old man and the Sea is one of the greatest books ever written.. I'm sorry you don't have the ability to see that.

The only book I ended up not being able to really get into was Catcher in the Rye...It was the only book that I read the CliffNotes for. Too many good books to list...But Lord of the Flies is my favorite book ever and I originally had to read it in like 4th or 5th grade.

Best:

Fahrenheit 451- Even though I had to read it 3 years in a row

Of Mice and men

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn

Worst:

Dracula- Not a bad book, but very dated and overrated

Anthem- I hate Ayn Rand's books with a passion that burns like a thousand raging forest fires. She is such an awful writer and storytellers, so preachy about her own political views that the story gets lost and the characters are all terrible.

High Fidelity- The film is much better, for some reason I didn't like the book at all.

its great for the themes and life lessons it teaches you. when i was writing my essay on the novel about the themes, i realized how good the lesson were. i just dont like books like that though. i like the great morals and themes, but i say it is the worst cuz it is so uninteresting and dull for most of the book. most of the books i listed under best books were very exciting to me. Old man and the sea was not

I find his books to be the opposite of boring, especially considering he was the master of the short, declartive sentence. the only author I have seen since that cuts to the chase like that is Cormac Mcarthy.

Animal Farm was very enjoyable. A Tale of Two Cities was impossible for me to read. I prefer older literature, but something about Dickens' prose was very boring to me.

I only had to read exerpts from A Tale of Two Cities. I can't stand Dickens either. He was essentially paid by the word, so he made his stories as wordy as possible, and I can't stand it.

Probably a good idea. His last two books Snuff, and Pgymy were awful. I think his best book is Survivor.

Fight Club is ok too, but for some reason Survivor really stuck with me. It is sad how awful his last 2 books were though, Pygmy especially was so bad I really didnt want to read it for a while.

An "introduction" book themed around the cross application of cognitive and dynamic psychotherapy written by Anna KÃ¥ver.

Its really the worst book i´ve attempted to read, period. It kept pulling numbers out of its ass, and when i looked for a source reference, there was none to be found. I didn´t even make it to the 2nd chapter.

The best book i´ve read in context with studies would be Katzung & Trevor's Pharmacology: Examination & Board Review.

It got me really hyped about medicinal & pharmacological science, and was more detailed with more accurate numbers than Lippincott´s, so it rejuvinated my diminishing eager in many ways. (:

Best was probably Lord of the Flies. That was a great book. Worst? I cant remember the name, but it was written in Victorian times and was just a typical, horrible, miserable victorian book. A girl works in a shop for a guy who's very tight with his money and very mean to her. One day he is murdered. She gets the blame, though it wasn't her. She tries to plead her case, fails, gets hanged. The end. Woo?

-Lord of The Flies -A bunch of Shakespeare -Prayer for Owen Meany -Frankenstein (hated because the teacher was horrible and I put it off until before the exam and had to read it all in one day) -Fahrenheit 451 -Some other Ray Bradbury short about some girl in space, and the sun comes out but she gets locked in a cupboard or something -A Thousand Splendid Suns -The Kite Runner -Lord of the Flies -The Hobbit I think the only books I legitimately enjoyed were The Hobbit, Kite Runner and Thousand Splendid Suns. It's probably because we were allowed to read them casually and were given a lot of freedom when it came to our projects on the books. The other books were good as well but because I was being forced to read them and a whole bunch of other circumstances eventually just led me to feel indifferent about them. Oh, and I never want to read A Thousand Splendid Suns ever again. Man, what a depressing book.

XD I don't think I'll be able to tackle the Enderby series just yet. I have enough awkward humour in Gravity's Rainbow...I don't yet need to read about a poet who can only write while taking a dump. :P Although it sounds very interesting(and I am halfway through GR so it may not be such a wait). Earthy Powers seems interesting, I thin I'll give that one a shot first.

The only book I ended up not being able to really get into was Catcher in the Rye...It was the only book that I read the CliffNotes for. Too many good books to list...But Lord of the Flies is my favorite book ever and I originally had to read it in like 4th or 5th grade.spazzx625

Best: the chrysalids

worst: shakespear (old english is dumb)

Espada12

You read The Chrysalids in school? I love John Wyndham, you should Day of the triffds, and the Kraken wakes.

I hate to be honest, but I haven't really liked any of the books I've been required to read in school. They just aren't my type of books. With that said, I think the worst ones I've had to read were the Giver and The Christmas Carol. Both books in my opinion were boring and I found the Giver to be somewhat disturbing.
