I've seen lots of talk about best and most recommended animes people have watched, but are there any that you just found pretty stupid, illogical, boring or jus plain cringeworthingly bad.

The worst? Really? Comon it may have decreased in quality during the latter half but the first half was practically perfection. The worst anime I ever saw was BeyBlade as a kid...You can't beat that turd.

Let's BeyBladeYawaraka Sangokushi Tsukisase!! Ryofuko-chan, easily the most cliched, depressingly stupid pile of **** I have ever seen. Not kidding, look it up and try, just try to finish the first episode I surely couldn't.
Too those who say "every anime", I commend you for watching so many.

poke'mon maybe?Pok'emon can potentially entertain, whereas BeyBlade is so pathetic you can't even laugh at it. (Save for maybe the intro)The one episode I watched of Omamori Himari was absolutely horrible.chessmaster1989That's perverted stuff that is.
Any anime..seems childish and stupid to meimaps3fanboy
"Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."

So I cannot be an adult myself? Makes sense because I'm only 17 :)
Elfin Lied I think is how its spelled, whatever its trash.
The worst anime in existance however is Ikki Tousen, my brother used to buy random animes and just got box sets of anything random and came across this. It was...terrible.
Neon Genesis Evangelion. Of all the ones I have watched start the finished, it is the only one that I did not like, and felt like I had wasted time watching it.
Most of them are unwatchable because the localization is so bad... even the tranlasted subtitles are crap half the time...
The worst one I have seen is probably the Escaflowne movie... I loved the manga, I mean LOVED the manga, but the anime made no sense and the dialouge was straight-poorly-translated Japanese...

Eiken and School days. I really hated school days.

I watched an episode of school days to see if the characters were that bad,
wow was I wrong, they were even more idiotic and annoying then imaginable.
I tried to finish, I really did. But I was so angry and frustrated with the story and characters and everything about it I stopped lolI love Excel Saga :(excell saga. i fail to see anything even remotely funny or appealing about it.

i despised the ending, but overall i thought eva was decent, it had some really good parts in it, along with crappy ones.Neon Genesis Evangelion. Of all the ones I have watched start the finished, it is the only one that I did not like, and felt like I had wasted time watching it.

This show called bleach. I didnt understand anything about it and the charactors looks super skinny.
Its probably one of those things 15 years down the road I will love.

Any anime..seems childish and stupid to meimaps3fanboyThe people that post things like that typically haven't seen much anime at all and are clearly ignorant to what they're talking about. I'm willing to bet that the only ones you've seen are Naruto, Dragonball, and Inuyasha. I could be wrong, but I only say that because those are the most popular ones that you see on tv today. If you want something with a good story, serious tone, and good characters, try Cowboy Bebop, Death Note, Fullmetal Alchemist, Ghost in the Shell, and many others. Just because there are some anime that are childish does not mean you can categorize anime as a whole to be like that. That would be like me watching the live action movie Spy Kids, and saying that all live action movies are stupid and childish. I'm sure you can see the flawed reasoning in that. Ayway, the worst anime I have ever seen is Bobobobobobobo.

People who dont like childish cartoons wont watch anime.[QUOTE="gamertylers"][QUOTE="imaps3fanboy"]Any anime..seems childish and stupid to meslipknot0129
Just because they are animated, does not make them automatically childish. Here is the synopsis of the anime movie Grave of the Firelies, and I'd like to know if you honestly find it to be childish based on the description. And just to be clear, there is no magic, or special powers, or any of that crap going on in this movie. It is all realistic.
With their father serving overseas in the Navy towards the end of the World War 2, Seita and his younger sister Setsuko are living as normally as they can. One day during a firebomb raid on the city their mother suffers fatal wounds and the two siblings' lives are turned upside down as they go to live with a relative. After suffering the cruel treatment of their aunt, who makes it clear that their very presence is a nuisance, Seita and Setsuko decide to leave and go to live in an abandoned bomb shelter. With no one else to rely on, Seita and Setsuko try their hardest to live from day to day. Though when food becomes ever more scarce and no one is willing to sell what little provisions they have, life for the pair is increasingly difficult. Then when Setsuko falls ill, Seita begins to realize just how fragile life is...
Roger Ebert considers it to be one of the most powerful anti-war movies ever made. Animation historian Ernest Rister compares the film to Steven Spielberg's Schindler's List and says, "it is the most profoundly human animated film I've ever seen."
If you really believe that to be childish, then I don't know what to tell you.
