Worst anime you have ever watched

Im gonna have to agree with my dad. They are just cartoons. Childish cartoons. Ive watched all the anime and they are all childish. People who dont like childish cartoons wont watch anime.

The worst anime in existance however is Ikki Tousen, my brother used to buy random animes and just got box sets of anything random and came across this. It was...terrible.

Worst.. hmm Gantz was pretty bad, S-cry-ed. I can't remember the name of the worst I ever watched, it definitely made me want to shoot a kitten in the face however.

I don't like talking about in which way I like watching anime.

I prefer subs over dubs, so that immediately makes me labeled as a weeaboo.

I watch French movies in French, Chinese movies in Mandarin.

Thats a very ignorant statement, go watch some Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and come back to me, I'd really like to know if you still see all anime as childish cartoons after watching that.

Anyways, my worst anime is probably Katanagatari, the first two episodes were just non-stop talking for 45 minutes and some flashy fighting for the last 15 minutes or so. I ended up getting so bored I just stopped watching the series, might try it again later and see if it gets better.

Probably ninja scroll: the series... or gungrave.

Stay away, stay far away.. the main character in gungrave doesn't even talk. Everyone just sorta guesses what he wants to say, and will go so far as to rant on for at least 5 minutes while he just stares at them. o_o

I've seen some pretty horrible ones. I'd say the worst was probably that Devil May Cry anime they made. I expected it to be bad to begin with, and I was surprised. It was far worse than even I expected. I'm usually a pretty tough critic when it comes to anime, and I absolutely tore Devil May Cry apart. It was just horrible. Also, I kept expecting to see Vergil (the only character that probably could have saved the show) but he never showed up throughout all 12 episodes. I can't believe I actually sat through the entire ****

I chose actual bad anime, compared to 95% of the posters in this thread. Hurr, durr Death Note is the worst anime ever. And Katanagatari? Really? Just because you have ADD and can't pay attention or stay awake if there's a lot of dialogue doesn't mean it's a bad anime.

Eh, it just never really picked up, not enough for me. When the characters are finally starting to develop further, develop relationships, etc it ends. and yes, I also hated the ending. if the show was slow to progress, the ending was dragged along, and it had no real closure. I hated how they pretty much drop where they are in the show, to go to the 'ending' part, and never go back. Would have much rather seen the characters and the world a bit down the road after everything had happened and came to an end.

Overall, it was iffy, but the ending sealed the deal for me. While I have seen a few other Animes that were a bit iffy to me, NGE is the only one that I can honestly say that I did not like.

yugioh 5Ds......... oh my god....... people whined about GX? this makes GX look like a masterpiece by comparison. everything about this show sucks and it exists only to make money. the producers thought to themselves

"hey. we need a new gimmick to draw in more kids and more money, even though we are already making billions of dollars in profits. so, what do kids like? they like things that are fast. hmmmm.......... I have an idea. lets needlessly center our show around playing card games at 800 miles an hour. that makes perfect sense"

the dialogue in the show is some of the worst I have ever seen. it actually becomes kinda humorous. of course, its offset by total revulsion.

im not even going to go further into detail. there are so many things that are wrong with this show.

other shows that are in the same vein as "yugioh 5Ds" in raping my childhood include "beyblade metal fight" and "pokemon" (after the second season).

but none of these are what people here consider "legitimate anime." unfortunately I dont know any terrible "legitimate anime." I dont actually know much about anime general and the few shows that Ive seen were satisfactory.

School Days, Eiken, Lucky Star and Reign the Conqueror.

It's called trolling haha, not saying anyone is doing it but that's pretty much what it amounts to. It's funny though, an anime like pokemon if left uncensored would be deemed too inappropriate for US kids and not shown on kids channels.

If you ever want to ruin a really great series there's the perfect guide for it.

Remove one of the most interesting characters and have her get possessed by Cthulu for no apparent reason.

Reverse all the character development that your main character goes through.

Introduce a middle school girl as your new protagonist and give her ridiculous powers that don't fit in at all with the show.

Make an excellent supporting character into a complete joke by putting him in the body of a flying squirrel.

Give it a complete mindf*** ending that doesn't make any sense.

Don't forget that Hei (protagonist of the first season) also loses all his awesome powers in the beginning and stays that way for the rest of the series. And to top it all off, theres still no third season out, so there will probably never be any closure on that horrible cliffhanger you had in season 2.

For me it would definitely have to be Full Metal Alchemist. That show is just absolutely terrible...the dialogue is so stupid and the storyline is just redundant and terrible.
