I still have yet to break a bone but have you?
How much does it hurt?

Its funny that this would be posted, I actually just broke my right ankle on monday. I was walking down my stairs and my heel caught the very edge of the step, when I slipped I rolled all my weight downward onto my right ankle. It was absolutely excrutiating. There was no guesswork at all, it was one of those moments where you instantly knew....something was broken.
and yes, I screamed like a girl.
The only piece of bone I've broken was my skull when I was fairly young. Let me tell from experience that concrete tile really has very little give when you dive into it so I can't fully recommend it as a continuous activity.
I broke my wrist back in the day when street hockey was popular and I went 3 days plus a baseball game without seeking medical condition because I was staying with my grand parents at the time and my mom forgot to give them my insurance card to admit me anywhere.
The most painful thing though wasn't the broken wrist but when I tore my MCL on my left leg during football, that pain was so bad to where you couldn't even bring tears to your eyes and you just screamed. I couldn't walk for like 6-7 weeks after that happened which pretty much killed any sort of football hopes I had for College.
I dunno, I don't go around doing bone-breaking experiments and recording the pain I felt for future comparison.
I got a horrible twisted fracture, on the middle finger on my right hand, between the tip and the second knuckle. It hurt like hell, swelled up to twice the size, and went black. It ached pretty constantly while it was healing - about six weeks - and my finger is still twisted slightly.
It was one of those awkward fractures that just kept getting in the way, since it was on my right hand, so hard to work and everything. And the worse thing was I couldn't play my violin at all while it was healing

Yeah well my bad choices when it comes to the opposite sex are exemplary.
But watching you manipulate that shoehorn was worth the recounting! :P
I 'shattered' (as the doctor said) my heel (calcaneus) during a soccer game in high school. I guess that counts as breaking a bone.FragStains
I broke my pinky toe playing soccer too, barefeet. The pain was worse then when I broke my index finger but it was less inconvenient.

I know that I am a jackass...but there are certain types of jackassery I try to stay away from (this being one of them)
-I should have known better...given the details of the injury and the lack of details surrounding the event
that shoehorn was deep down my throat
Honestly don't worry yourself about it Sweetie Pie ;) I'm well away from all that now and it doesn't upset me remembering it.
Well thanks...I was posting from the ledge of my 16 floor office and about to jump b/c of the guiltHonestly don't worry yourself about it Sweetie Pie ;) I'm well away from all that now and it doesn't upset me remembering it.

Not sure why he felt it necessary to give us this extra bit of information. I'm no longer hungry.
Totally random: I saw you playing resistance 2 last night and thought about jumping in. -but I remembered that you don't like to play online -and yes, I am a total stalker
actually, I just got on to check what the updates were for this week
Once I broke my ankle. I was at a Halloween party and for some reason we were outside and I was running down the street and I tripped over the cape I was wearing. I heard a crack, it hurt like hell, and it started to bruise and swell immediately, but I didn't go home for a couple of hours after that.
I was able to walk (just barely), but my entire ankle (halfway up my shin, on all sides, etc.) was bruised and swollen for quite a long time. Stupidly I didn't see a doctor for it for like 6-8 months. I was told that it was a minor fracture that healed on its own and that there wasn't really anything they could do for me at that point.
2 1/2 years later and it still hurts! :(

I had a longer response written but I didn't want to completely derail the thread and get modded.
I was just working on some trophies when I saw you login. I thought it would be cool too but the problem is my kid was just waking up when you came on so I wasn't even able to finish the game I was in. I should rephrase what I meant about playing online. If I have a group of friends, I LOVE playing online. Some of my best memories are playing WoW on skype. The problem with the PSN/PS3 is I don't know many people on there to begin with, along with not owning many of the same games. That means I'm always forced to play with strangers.
Anyway, back on topic. The worst I've broken is both my ankles, at the same time. That sucked for quite a while.

DAMN....almost as bad as both arms at once
I would ask how, but I already learned my lesson in this thread
We need to try and get a Resistance Night in the union I think
-it is one of the few co-op online games I like
