Uhh, yeah, no. Maybe he was a bad apple, but really, if you were trying to skim a couple extra bucks off of people, you wouldn't add THE MOST EXPENSIVE DISH ON THE MENU to orders. People WILL notice when you do that, like you did. So it probably genuinely was a mistake, and just because you didn't see him enter anything into a computer doesn't mean he didn't, or that another person didn't do it for him. It got corrected probably because supervisors/managers looked at the bill and went "Oh, yeah we see where that mistake was made, correct it and take it off", so therefore he never had to argue with you. DERP. He won't be 'accused of fraud' nor go to trial for it. A patron is not going to take a guy to COURT over a bill at a restaurant, the legal fees would cost more than you'd get out of it, and people who had already paid their tabs without doublechecking the math have no case to form a class-action suit. The only intelligent course of action there would be to contact the manager, who, if he'd received complaints before or noticed something was off, could fire the employee. Raging at the employee doesn't do anything. If he was scamming you, talking to management might have actually gotten you somewhere. Instead you screamed at an employee who you're not even sure was at fault, you just assumed. You obviously don't know sh!t about the service industry in the US. I don't even live there but I know servers make next to nothing and tips are their whole profit, AND most of them do tip-out, which means sharing with cooks/bussers/etc. So you know what he probably would have actually MADE from overcharging you? A couple cents, maybe a dollar, if you tip the standard 15% or more. Restaurants like that usually have a large-ish staff, so tip out % to each person is fairly low. You and your family are the worst kinds of customers. I hope you actually have to get a job one day where you have to deal with your own kind. People like you make me hate going to work. Honestly I'd take crooks over people like you any day. Grow up, learn to treat people properly and not assume things about them, and if there is a problem talk to a manager, don't take it out on the poor employee who likely didn't do anything on purpose. If he would have agued he knew that he could have been accused for fraud. That dish was the most expensive on the menu, and we didn't even point at it on the paper. besides, he had the correct tab on the counter, I saw him just picking it up without pressing buttons on the computer. And yes I am spoiled but I know how money is earned, and you have to repsect others wallets as much as you respect your own which he clearly didn't. And do you really think that anyone is able to check if a tab was over- or underpayed after the guests have already left? All the evidence you have is a piece of paper, you can't see how many people who ordered the stuff stated on the tab and nobody would sit for hours watching survailence videos to see what everyone ate and drank. That guy was a crook, he has pulled off his little scam before and knew that he had to be careful if he got caught.

Nobody screamed at the employee but we were angry, and I don't doubt he knew that. Rage in swedish terms is very different to the rest of the world, so mabey that wasn't the right word of choice. I know all about thier salaries and you have to tip them in order for them to get a decent pay for the end of the month. But as I said, he had two copies of the tab, one he gave to us, and one he would have given to the manager in either way which was the correct one so he would get all those $95 if we paid him without looking at the table. I have grown up in a city where fraud is one of the most common crimes, so I know people like him. I respect those who respect me and wants to do legit business, I make up conversation with a smile on my face. Also, it's kind of wierd that you position yourself on his side and look upon him as some sort of saint and me as a little spoiled brat even though you don't know either one of us. If I was you I would have been neutral and ask why I became so incredibly angry and what really happend in detail instead of accusing me of stuff that's equal to strangling a kitten.
The employees were too busy yacking on their phones at this local italian place 1 time to serve us, so we ended up waiting over 45 minutes without anything then going
Idk, something about North American food that I think is horrible. It has no........soul. I prefer other kinds of food, Chinese, Italian, Greek , etc.

I'd have to disagree, American barbecue from the south is heavenly. When it's done right and authentic to the preparation, it's some of the best food you'll ever eat imo.
