[QUOTE="Travo_basic"]I had Spinal Meningitis when I was two and ended up losing my hearing in my left ear.emb4are you still deaf in that ear? Oh yeah.
migraines. I used to get them bad as a kid, my head was in throbbing agony and it made me throw up lots, but luckily they only lasted 3-5 hours. I have never had a major disease or anything, thank goodness.
probably when i got a mosquito bite next to my eye. ended up swelling up around the bite and started to travel around both my bottem and top eye lids. Apparently if i had let the swelling around my eye get any worse I would not have been able to open my eyes and there could have been temporary or permanent damage. Cant remember the name of what i got but its probably the worst i got. Short of that a couple migraines.
I had Spinal Meningitis when I was two and ended up losing my hearing in my left ear.Travo_basicI myself had streptococcus meningitis (or something ... not sure if this is the name for it) at two months old. However, I am not aware of any long-term effects aside from almost dying.
Pneumonia, I was 16 and I was sleeping, when about 1am I was awoken and realized I couldn't breath. I bolted out of bed trying to yell but couldn't, I couldn't even make a noise so I began banging and looking for the rest of my family, no one was home. I started to get a little air back in my lungs and drank some water, right about then the family came home. was able to breathe fine again but I kept feeling this pain in the right backside of my back. Parents said i'll be fine it was probably nothing but continued to pressure them to take me to emerge, yet they didn't want to. Finally convinced them about a half hour later, proceeded to the hospital and took some x-rays. Found out it was pneumonia and gave me some antibiotics and sent me home after they monitored me for a bit. Docters questioned why I didn't go in sooner, it would have been too late they said. I knew something wasn't right..
That was probably the scariest thing that's happened to me. I got the same sickness again 2 years later but wasn't as bad as that, i'm 23 now and haven't had anything like that since.
I had an appendicitis where my appendix ruptured, if that counts. If not, I've had a bad staff infection.GamerForcaOh yeah, and I forgot about having strep throat that later became sepsis when I was about 10. Sick for 2 months, don't know why that one slipped my mind.
The worst disease I've ever had would be stage I Hodgkin's lymphoma, which is a cancer of the lymphatic system (i.e. lymph nodes). I was diagnosed in May 2007 and I underwent a few months of chemotherapy to knock it out (which I did successfully). I'm now almost 3 1/2 years cancer free.
As for feeling physically sick, I'd have to say the chemo wasn't very fun. The worst symptoms were the nausea (though I only actually puked three times) and the change in sense of taste after a few doses of it. My sense of taste would change for a few days after the dose. I knew it was bad when, on a Saturday a day after I'd had a chemo dose, In n' Out tasted disgusting.
I've never had anything worse than flu. But once my brother had this really bizzare case of chicken pox.
My mother while she was prenant with my brother had chicken pox. When my brother was about 8 years old he was in absolute agony. It was chicken pox focused on his leg alone. There were some more viruses piled on to that like flu. It was awful for him. :(
[QUOTE="spawnassasin"]i had that before ginger ale became my best freindhad a stomach virus and didnt eat anything for 3 days

yeah i drank a **** ton of water
Malaria ..1 and a half year back.. had to take lariago and primaquine so that it shouldn't relapse.. worst than chemo theraphy and any other drug..
I had that too, my father was in hospital and I was visiting him, caught it there! I've had a few nasty injuries, I had a small fracture on my foot while at college also broke three toes on the same foot after jumping over a couch and basically put up with it, only to see a doctor a year later (at the same time at college a kid broke is little toe, he had a foot support and crutches) I've also had Campylobacter (which I probably caught from Ice Cream at a spanish holiday resort) and after the same holiday I had to be checked for Skin Cancer after suffering 3rd degree burns on my back....Definitely norwalk virus. Worst stomach virus ever.

pneumonia
Worst was when I was a freshman in high school. I developed a lump behind my heart and every night for about a week it felt like someone was poking my heart with a needle for hours or like squeezing it between their thumb and index finger. After a while, I couldn't even move an inch without it flaring up like crazy. Thought I was gonna die. lol And like a dumb*** I would've if I kept trying to tough it out not say anything about it.

or is that just one hell of a quinkidink
When I was younger I had a severe asthma attack, lung infection and pneumonia all at the same time. By the time I got to the hospital, I had turned gray and had all but stopped breathing. I was in the hospital for 3 weeks.
