That isn't exactly true, it'll be extremely hot for a little while, but eventually your nerves would be burned so you wouldn't feel the intensity of the heat anymore. I think being buried alive in a coffin would be horrible.

Though not the worst I think of, there's something that's used in Banjo-Kazooie, of all video games:

You have to find your way through a maze, and if you don't do that in time, spiked walls close in and eventually crush you with those spikes. They even put the player in first-person view as the wall is closing in, to get a better look at the bear's and bird's demise.

Buried aliveISworse, but just because you would stop feeling the intensity of the heat after awhile wouldn't make it anymore fun. Go burn your finger on a mildly hor curling iron.

Now do that again. Now picture that pain but 100,000 times worse and all over your body igniting your skin and cooking you alive. Yeah, at least the nerves will cut off the pain EVENTUALLY.

Ok, here it goes:

Getting held by people against my will while they cut my hands and feet off. Then they pour gasoline on my legs and torch them. Right before I pass out they put out the fire and take a wooden board and rub it up and down my shins until the skin on my legs peel off. Then getting my eyes gouged out and burried alive with a bunch of ants. Right before I die from the ants eating me alive they pull me out and drop me in deep lake with rocks tied to my waist.

Yeah, that's pretty much everything combined so I'd say that's the worst death.
