Same thing happened to me, she has a boyfriend, says she likes me (told me she loved me) but said she was "confused"

I had one brutal turn down in my life -from a girl I really liked.

We'd gone out during the summer when I was in college, and when the school year started I drove from Los Angles to Oakland to meet her in the Fall. I was crazy about this girl.

 I hadn't seen her in a few months, so I drove 5 hours north, and when I got to her house in Oakland, her girlfriend was there too (first bad sign) hanging out, so we couldn't be alone. Then we went on a 5 minute drive so she could show me her neighborhood, and then when I stopped in front of her house she said about us, "It's not there anymore."

It wouldn't have been so bad if I didn't have to drive back to LA for 5 hours feeling like hell, or if I saw it coming. That reject hurt for a long, long time, and I leaned that you do better not coming on so strong in the early stages.
