Would me working at this summer camp be a total rip off?

Better than what I had his age. I'd take it, especially since there's nothing else it seems.

if youre good at what you do, you get paid well for it. settling for less is your own fault

(if you have enough money to be sitting on gamespot right now im going to assume you dont live in poverty, or are at the least in an economically stable region. just tossing that in before i get the standard ethiopia come back)

It's a standard internship lasting one to two months. If it's there and available and somewhat relevant, I take it, especially when large employers receive 10,000 applications and only take five students. Their figures, not mine. Like I said, this guy isn't going to get anything else judging from the first post and he's merely a 17 year old high school graduate. And no, I don't live in poverty, but experience needs to be gained in order to shine and the competition is heavy. I would like to earn some money on the way as well. On the topic of poverty, I don't see what being on GameSpot has to do with the level of poverty as internet connections and the like are cheap enough to be afforded even by my rather poor friends.

Like I told the TC, it may suck by your standards, but if you can't get anything else, go for it. It will teach you an important life lesson and you'll gain some valuable experience in the world of work while earning some money on the side as well. Gotta get your hands dirty sometimes.
